Dislikes:Folks who underestimate an Earth pony, King Sombre and anything about him, the majority of Crystal ponies, being hounded.
Motivation:To keep away from the Crystal Empire, to find a way to get his revenge on King Sombre (even tho he's gone) to get rich and live on an island of solitude for the rest of his days.
Strengths:Being made of crystal gives him a boost in physical defense, so it doesn't hurt when he gets kicked or attacked. Being lighter built helps with his endurance. Being able to outfox anyone so he can get out of a situation. Years of training have given Topaz his vast agility and reflexes, allowing him to perform feats that few can equal.
Weaknesses/Flaws:He has pent up anger towards his kingdom and gets irrational when his mother is brought up. Of course his ego can get the better of him. Often times he's lonely.
Fears:Sinking in water.
Personality:Clever and devious, brave and sarcastic, but deep inside that demeanor it's possible he's just lonely. He used to jump into things without thinking, but now if he decides to do anything stupid, he thinks about how smart he's going to be about it. He sets up his heists to make them look like another breed of pony did the stealing. He's incredibly loyal to his friends. If he had any. Tho he says he's all about the "now" and says he never dwells on the past, it's evident that he does. When it comes to the ladies, however, too often does he risk getting himself arrested just to flirt with them. As for the princesses of Equestria, he has nothing against them, but he was never one to humor royalty. One good thing tho, is whenever they're present at an event, it makes his life of thievery alot easier. However when he meets Gallant Rose, he tries to get into her good graces. He says the reason behind wanting that is because having an enemy is the closest thing to a friend that he's gonna get.
History/Background:He was born and raised in the Crystal Empire, and grew up wanting to be like his father, Bright. He had just been recruited to the Crystal Guard when King Sombre took over the kingdom. He was proud to be a guard, but could be a real Maverick while on the job. His rebeliousness made it difficult for others to work with, because even tho he's courageous and witty, he's always got a sarcastic remark nearby.
When King Sombre took over the Empire, Sun Spinner was one of the first to be subjected to the evil spell. The next thing he remembered was waking up in a haze, until the kingdom was saved by the dragon, Spike. It was then when he and his father regained their memories, and it was then when Bright broke the news to Spinner that his mother had been lost during the king's tyranny. Angry, hurt, and confused, Sun Spinner fled the Crystal Empire and explored all over Equestria. He found it hard and unfulfilling making an honest living, so he turned to crimes to make it by. To change his identity, he called himself Topaz Jones from then on. He stole ancient artifacts from all over, making a hefty sum of bits pawning off the Alicorn Amulet. He decided to aim bigger and sneak into the Princess's castle to steal the Elements of Harmony. He failed once, but managed to barely escape the guard. Bad news is, he's been hunted down ever since, but the good news is he hasn't been caught yet.
