Cutie Mark: A thorned rose with a long sword through it. It symbolises her loyalty and honour to the crown (considering roses can be a symbol of royalty) and her willingness to fight for its protection.

She fills the role that she is required, and in her spare time acts as a personal guard of the princess', often being seen stood next to the throne, or nearby when travelling.

Likes: Her job more than anything else, and she really enjoys the company of Celestia and Luna. She also likes cool and overcast weather, when everyone's doing their job, long flights, practising her fighting and defence skills, old stories and legends, and being listened to. She is also partial to a fancy meal at a high class restaurant or exploring the castle gardens, but ONLY when she's off-duty which is pretty rare.
Dislikes: Slackers, disrespect towards herself; her fellow guards or the princesses, threats being placed upon Canterlot, humid weather, disobedience, disrespect, pansies, and those who instantly try making friends with her. She's extremely distrustful and doesn't like being pressed for information, especially personal information.
Motivation: To keep the princesses and citizens of Canterlot as safe as possible.
Strengths: Hard-working, dedicated to her duty, loyal, knows how to keep others in-line, always active and ready for action, observant, clever, strong, a good leader and very skilled in her line of work. She also has an amazing memory, and very rarely forgets anything. She spends a lot of her time observing and studying things, so she can pick out and remember very small details about them - but only when she feels it's important. Can be a very good motivational speaker when she wants to be, and is good at taking charge. In the end her heart is in the right place, and she is extremely noble; honourable; passionate, and - like her namesake - extremely gallant.

Gallant is very commanding, and can often quickly take charge of a tricky situation and makes sure everyone's doing what's expected of them. She doesn't abuse her powers or anything, but she definitely takes advantage of them and speaks to her lower ranked guards as a sergeant would address their squadron, and often uses very harsh words and terms when speaking to them. While she does care for them in her own strange way, she has too much of a tough front to dare soften up in front of anypony. The only ponies she wouldn't dare disrespect are the princesses themselves, but only because of her utmost respect for them. She tries to avoid anything she sees as pointless or pathetic, and will only tale interest in things that actually interest her. More often than not, she can come off as rude, but she can be a darn good listener when she wants to be.
She is a born leader, and is very good at using her booming voice to keep others under control and command them when necessary. She is very clever and has a mind sharper than a knife, and can act quickly in just about any situation while assuring others follow her lead. She is extremely suspicious, and more often than not suspects the worst of other ponies and their intentions, and will interrogate you until she's sure she can trust you - but under her very watchful and observant eye. She doesn't stress easily, but the job does take a lot out of her - including sleep deprivation. But being the ridiculously motivated creature she is, she can easily work with very little amounts of sleep, although it's not good for her at all. While the job is of great importance to her and she's very good at it, she does often forget to enjoy the more pleasant and simple things in life, and needs to loosen up a bit. She's almost always on edge, prepared to snap at any instant like a tightly coiled spring while remaining a surprisingly patient pony. She is also a pretty good fighter whenever the situation calls for it, and has no fear of going into battle if she ever needed to.
It's clear by now that she's very proud of what she does. She's a rather hardcore pony, and is pretty darn strict and domineering when it comes to motivating the other guards. She can be a pretty darn good inspiration speaker when she needs to be due to her passionate nature, and has a knack for motivating others despite her harshness. She is tenacious and determined to the extreme, and is hell-bent on doing her job properly and making sure everyone else is doing the same thing; due to her low tolerance for any shortcomings. Despite her often serious stoic nature, she can be rather crass when she wants to be, which has given her a very dry sense of humour. She is very closed off and tough as a rock, and doesn't dare let anyone even close to the core of her tightly knit shell. Underneath it is a softer pony SOMEWHERE, but she'll probably never reveal it to you if she doesn't trust you - which is about 99% of the time she's around others. Not many ponies know that she has a softer spot for nature, and enjoys having a quiet fly through the castle garden to enjoy its relaxing aura, because there's no doubt she needs to relax the majority of the time. She is mature, tough, always prepared and loyal to her very core - and definitely not a pony you want to mess with or irritate.

i was kinda excited to feel like im back in 2015
