-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Sweet treats of all kinds, Cooking, Baking, Enjoying the little things, getting good reviews on his culinary skills especially from friends, putting smiles on others' faces, and being in good company
Dislikes: Feeling forced into anything, messing up a recipe, when other ponies are in bad moods, hurting other ponies in any way, fights, arguments, when food spoils or goes bad, when anypony doesn't "clean their plate," being called names or made fun of because of his weight
Motivation: Chocolate Custard gets as much enjoyment out of eating as anypony could. It is his love of food that drives his pursuit of the culinary arts, but that is not his only motivation nor is it his true motivation. He wants to share the joy he gets from the delicious food he makes with everypony he meets. If his cooking or baking can brighten the day of another pony then he feels fulfilled and shares in their delight simply by knowing that they enjoyed the meal.
Strengths: He has patience that would test even that of a saint. He has a level of calm about him that rarely wavers even in the face of danger. He's no genius, but he's definitely more intelligent than your average pony. Don't let his pudgy appearance fool you, Custard is both physically strong and exceptionally durable.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Tends to avoid conflict and can often be indecisive because of this. Takes most things at his own pace, so urgent matters tend to be a problem for him. His eating habits and their results make him physically slower than most ponies by a great deal.
Fears: That anypony won't like his cooking. That he'll end up proving his sister right and have to go back home to his parents' because he couldn't make it on his own.
Overall Persona: Custard is a caring, respectful, and level headed individual with a positive outlook on life. He takes things as they come and enjoys life as much as he can. The latter is obviously exemplified in his love of food, since eating is something that everypony has to do to survive and he gets the most enjoyment of anything out of a delicious treat. He is somewhat altruistic in that he would put the well-being of others before himself. Though unbelievable as it may be if he were faced with a choice between himself starving or somepony he knew starving, he'd give up his own food if it would save them. He enjoys seeing others smile, and if it was because of his work then that's even better in his mind. When it comes to his baking he's a very hard worker and he strives to be the best. It's one of the few things he really takes pride in, but his indecisive and non-conflicting nature often makes him not competitive even when his pride is on the line. His non-combative persona also makes him passive aggressive in situations that he can't talk his way out of or just outright ignore when somepony makes unfriendly remarks or advances toward him. He doesn't do violence unless he feels there's no other option, and even then, he'd just knock the aggressor around a bit and then walk, or run, away if they pursued. Overall he is a soft-hearted fellow who just likes to see his work make ponies smile.
History/Background:
Custard grew up in Manehattan. The Baker went to private school and was raised in the kitchen of his mother and step-father's four star restaurant. Although he and his twin sister(Older sister by a mere forty-eight seconds), Caramel Flan were both born before his mother got with Lemon Tart, Custard's step-father still treated the two of him with kindness like his own, but a heavy-hooved sternness that was often off-putting to the compassionate colt when he was growing up.
Eventually he left home after an argument with his father about whether or not his culinary skills were good enough to stand on his own. His sister took his father's side, although this was partially because she didn't want to see him leave. Unfortunately for her and him, it only drove CC further away and he left that night. He did begin sending letters to them after being gone for three months, but he managed to travel around Equestria doing odd jobs, occasionally as a cook or simple housecleaning for somepony who let him live in their home for a while.
He arrived in the small, supposedly peaceful town of Ponyville shortly after the new Princess was crowned, and he began looking for employment...or maybe just a place to set up permanent residence. He only has a few things with him, but he's saved about three hundred bits. The Earth stallion hopes to use that money to get himself an apartment, or maybe rent a place in town.
