Name: Waxworks
Nickname/Alias(es): Some folks call her Waxy, and her non-speaking friends call her something that sounds like a quick rat-a-tat-tat. Candlemare has also come up several times as well.
Race: Earth Pony
Gender: Female
Age: Mare
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: Waxy White
Mane/Tail Color and Style: The mane and tail are as white as the rest of her, but they look like great globs of melting wax cascading down around her ears and haunches, except for a cowlick (ponylick?) at the tip-top of her head that's red and yellow like a candle's flame.
Eye Color: Her eyes are two concentric circles of yellow and red, giving her a sort of double-iris.
Cutie Mark: Waxy's cutie mark appears to be a candle burning at both ends.
Physique: Waxy's slightly chubbier than the average pony, almost like someone stuffed her.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: Ponyville Outskits: House of Wax
Job: The proprietor and owner of a small museum full of wax sculptures she makes, it's essentially a haunted house style exhibit with various attractions designed to give visitors a major fright.
Mother: Her adopted mum is named Aurora, but more on that later.
Siblings: Cobblestone (little brother, adopted by Waxy)
Closest Friends: Waxy's original group of friends (that I'll probably be making applications for later) are Mannequin Grace, Mandolin Gray, Powderkeg, Rivet Stitch, and Dusty Pan, and more to be added as she makes 'em! Cobblestone, her little brother of course, is now in the group too.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Waxy has a tremendous love for all things macabre, disturbing, frightening, or outright scary. From creaky doors to dark and stormy nights, Waxworks likes it if it exudes an aura of spooky danger or possible fright. She absolutely adores ghost stories, or something she thinks could lead to a frightening scenario, such as a statue with a creepy face or a darkened window. She also likes it when ponies listen to her ideas for frightening scenarios and then suggest ideas of their own. She also loves it when others frighten her as well, although her reactions are usually subdued as she critically analyzes their scare tactics. She also loves pumpkin bread, pickles, and the sort of hugs that could snap somepony in half.
Dislikes: Waxy has a mild dislike of easily scared ponies, although recently she's learned about the intense effort needed to make small, subtle scary scenarios. She is typical upset by people who mistake her for being wicked, evil or malevolent. She also dislikes getting a negative reaction upon scaring someone, as in her mind a tremendous fright is akin to giving someone a birthday present. Waxy also dislikes anyone who thinks hurting someone is the same as scaring them (a view she doesn't hold).
Motivation: Waxy's main drive in life is to scare people, as she views being scared as a fantastic sensation and genuinely doesn't understand why you WOULDN'T want to be scared, so she spends hours and days agonizing over new exhibits and events to scare her friends. Nightmare Night is her favorite time of year and she views it as her annual test of mettle.
Strengths: Waxworks has astounding tolerance, eagerly making friends with anyone and anything. She's also a surprisingly FAST sculptor, sometimes leaving wax sculptures of herself behind where she'd been standing when she gets bored. Also as Waxworks has a keen love of the frightening, it easily gets her past anyone with an imposing or frightening visage to get at the real pony (or dragon/griffon/changeling/etc) underneath.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Waxy's love of scaring other ponies has rendered her somewhat sociopathic, meaning she gets terribly confused when people react negatively after being scared, leading to her being quite awkward in certain situations. For example, she'll eagerly begin discussing something that creeps most ponies out and not let up, despite everyone trying to signal her that "no, roaches are NOT an appropriate topic during lunch, neither is teaching them tricks or getting them to form shapes from swarms and OH SWEET CELESTIA IT'S IN MY SANDWICH!!!" This also sadly puts her in danger as she fails to associate a frightening scenario with a dangerous scenario (her events at the house of wax are all exceedingly safe) so that she typically will be the last pony to correctly react to a genuinely life-threatening moment.
Fears: Quite a few things actively scare Waxworks, although given that she enjoys being scared it's hard to determine if she's scared or giddy in a given situation. However she IS terribly worried that if she's exposed to things that scare her too often she'll start to not be afraid of them. She also has a lingering fear from years of making sculptures of herself (among others) that she herself is just a copy. Recently she's also acquired a new fear, a fear of being a bad big sister.
Overall Persona: Waxworks is cheerful, friendly, and exceedingly macabre. Most of the things she happily gabs about would curl anypony's tail in fright. She's the kind of pony who would bounce into your house on a dark and stormy night to keep you company, wait until you'd turned around, vanish, then burst out of a cupboard screaming like a banshee. The more she cares for someone, the more she attempts to custom design her frightening scenarios for them, and the more genuinely upset and confused she gets if they dislike her scaring them. In situations where someone has made is absolutely clear that they do not wish to be friends, Waxy will still maintain some hope that there's a chance of being friends with nearly manic optimism. Her tendency to ignore what someone looks like (aside from gushing compliments if she finds them to be perfectly petrifying) leads her to generally judge others solely on what's inside, however her naive optimism that everyone's good somewhere deep down leads her into trouble at times. For that reason, her friends and family have learned to keep an eye on her in genuinely bad situations. Her love of the macabre doesn't extend to the suffering of others however, as her first response upon seeing injury will typically be to render aid of some sort, putting aside her scare tactics until later.
Fun Fact: Waxworks is a surprisingly good cook, often whipping up pumpkin pies and cinnamon donuts in her spare time for an evening snack.
