-General Stuff-
Name: Painted Sunset
Nickname/Alias(es): Those close to her some times call her "Sunnie," to her great annoyance.
Race: Unicorn
Gender: A mare, or female.
Age: Younger Mare, around 19 or 20 in human comparison.
Additional Status: "My name's Painted Sunset, and I help make Theater magic happen." -Sunnie
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: Snow white, but it's often splattered with various colors of paint and glitter.
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Her mane is a rich brown, but she dyes orangey-red and purple streaks in it. She wears it up in a bun, with a little bit poking out from behind her ear, and her bangs hanging off to the side in a slightly raggedy fashion. She cuts her tail short, so it doesn't drag in or rub against wet paint.
Eye Color: Her eyes are a fresh, grassy green.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is the white, happy theater mask, with a black grin and eyes. Two paintbrushes poke out from behind it in an X formation, and the straps wind down her leg, stopping at about knee length.
Other Scars/Markings: She has a light scar on her right foreleg, from her childhood when she tried to make friends with a nasty neighborhood cat.
Physique: One might call her a little buff, but she's not noticeably larger than your average pony. Her legs are also a tad bit shorter than average.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: She lives in the bustling city of Manehattan, where quite a few plays take place.
Job: Sunnie works as a backstage set designer, making backdrops, stitching up costumes and building props and manning the effects on play night. She wants to make it big someday, designing sets for big shows in the Grand Starshine Theater, maybe even for the Princesses themselves, or doing shows on Brodneigh, but doing smaller things works for now.
Mother: Ebony Skies, the unicorn.
Father: Snow Day, the pegasus.
Sibling(s): Her prim, proper older sister, Blackberry Delight the unicorn.
Other Family: Aunt Sugar (Sugar n' Spice) the pegasus and Uncle Molases (Molases Crumble) the unicorn.
Closest Friends: She doesn't have many close friends as of now, mostly befriending her crewmates and trying but failing to keep in touch.
Courting/Courted By: She's single as of now, and could be classified as bisexual.
Mate: She didn't have one then, and she doesn't have one now.
Foal(s): No, but she wouldn't mind having, or maybe even adopting one, or maybe two, once she finds her special somepony.
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Sunnie adores all things theater, wether it be watching plays, working backstage in them, or even acting in them, although she's pretty bad at it. She also loves a good book on a rainy day, from the complete collection of Haykspere to The Cricket in Whinies Square. Although she isn't a total party animal, she does love a casual night on the town every once and a while, and making new friends. She enjoys art in many forms, and will often find herself sketching, humming, or even sometimes stitching away.
Dislikes: She cannot stand it when she gets her mane in the paint. Not because it messes up her hair, but it leaves an ugly mark on the canvas. She also hates killjoys, and just wants to have a little fun. She also dislikes uncooperative ponies, and has a bit of a short fuse. That being said, she doesn't like being copied, and thinks ponies should do thier own thing and not worry about what others may think.
Motivation: Sunnie lives to create. She loves thrill of completing something she worked so hard on, and seeing it all come together on opening night. She hopes to make it big leagues someday.
Strengths: Sunnie is very skilled in the crafting area, from drawing to sewing, and even a little effect making, although it's not really her strong suit and she's prone to mistakes. She also has abundant energy, but she generally uses it all up at "work," so she's calm-ish otherwise. One may also say she's a quick thinker, often coming up with ideas on the spot. Their quality, however, is a different story sometimes. She generally thinks outside the box, adding her own flair to everything. She can also make a pretty good salad, and often brings it to parties. She's not terrible at flirting, either, but almost never does it.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Sunnie is anything but athletic. She's about average at best, but she's usually a bit below. She also never had fantastic control over her magic, and it is known to sometimes go a little haywire. She also has a short temper, and will often snap if certain buttons of her's are pushed, and is mildly bi-polar. She also isn't the greatest at mind games or puzzles, often getting bored and saying "Whatever. I have more productive things to do."
Fears: She has a morbid fear of falling. Wether metaphorically or actually falling off something, she will not function properly if faced with a situation where she may plummet to her impending doom. She also fears cats a little, and she has a scar to explain it. Fires are pretty scary to her, too, because she has a fear of getting badly burnt. She has no idea as to why. Finally, she has a fear of
small, musty spaces, and could be registered as claustrophobic.
Overall Persona: Sunnie is, without a doubt, a dreamer. She dreams of being famous. She dreams of designing a set for the Princesses themselves. She dreams of meeting a nice mare or stallion and adopting a foal. On that note, she is very skilled in the art of backstage theatre. She takes it very seriously, and believes that the crew is just as important as the cast. If you insult her for it, or do anything to set her off, she will go completely beserk on you, but she is relatively level-headed otherwise. She usually ends up pouring herself into play, and being totally exhausted when she's not working. She is also very social, liking to go to casual outings to meet new ponies, but she is not one to really go clubbing, or anything like that. She believes that having only a few great friends is better than having lots of okay ones, and won't nessicarily throw herself out to a random stranger, though she is friendly. She grew up in Manehattan, and lives there now, so, she's used to being approached by strangers, acting friendly but only for a business deal, so she usually tries to get to know a pony before being her active, social self around them. She tries to visit her family, but they're often too busy to have a proper reunion at the time being.
She was born in Manehattan, and grew up in a middle-class family. Her parents implored that she and her sister have some sort of work in space, but were relatively accepting when they chose other careers. However, while her sister, Blackberry Delight became a famous model, Sunnie got a little jealous of her almost instant fame. Due to this, she moved into a separate apartment alone, but regrets her irrational behavior now. Still, she is bound and determined to bring just as much glory to the family name as her sister already did.
