-General Stuff-
Name: Hawthorne Frost
Nickname/Alias(es): Thorn, Frostie, Verne (the name he writes under)
Race: Unicorn
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Additional Status: Should I compare thee to a summer's day. Nay, for that would be cliche
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: Purple
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Long, black mane (held back by a hair-band), short and neatly trimmed tail tied up in a ponytail
Eye Color: Light Blue
Cutie Mark: A pot of ink next to a scroll tied with a red ribbon
Markings: He can always be found wearing his glasses.
Physique: Quite tall, slightly underweight, slightly muscled
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: He owns a house in Trottingham, but tends to travel around Equestria looking for things to write about
Job: Freelance writer (both novels and for newspapers)
Mother: Aesop Fable (a writer)
Father: Abbot Daily (a photographer)
Other Family: Bugle Daily (uncle on his father's side, the head of a major newspaper: The Trottingham Times)
Closest Friends: Haku (his pet Germane shepherd)
Courting/Courted By: None yet, but it won't stay that way for long if he has any say in the matter
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: he has rather an obsession about tea, he's constantly on the "hunt" for mares, he's got rather a soft spot for animals (especially dogs, mainly why his travelling companion is a germane shepherd),
Dislikes: He despises rain, distrusts children, and has a phobia of lightning
Motivation: To write best-selling books for the rest of his life
Strengths: he has a very good imagination, is extremely skilled at what he does, is quite modest, and likes to have things simple
Weaknesses/Flaws: is constantly daydreaming, is bad at taking compliments, becomes confused easily if people get too fussy
Fears: lightning
Overall Persona: Personality: He's a very cheerful and kind (if slightly flirtatious) stallion who knows what he likes, and that's simplicity itself. His writing, in a stark contrast, is usually extremely deep and poetic. Due to his inability to take compliments very well, he usually writes under a pen-name, however this doesn't usually work because if he ever gets in a boastful mood, he admits it, usually coming to regret it later.
History: As a colt, he grew up in a very rich family, due to his mother being a well-renowned author and his father being the main photographer for the Trottingham Times, a family run business. Due to all these role-models who worked in the business, Hawthorne became very dedicated to becoming the next generation's creme-de-la-creme. However, he learned very early in life that he couldn't accept compliments and always felt guilty that people loved his work so much, because he thought that he didn't deserve their time. Eventually, he grew out of his shyness as he grew older, but he still preferred to work under an alias.
All the way through childhood, instead of playing with the other colts and fillies, he would segregate himself to go off and read or write. Because of his social awkwardness, other kids used to pick on him, and mess with his writing. Since then, he's had an inherent distrust of little kids. But, despite these interferences, he's become a very good author, with several best selling books. His recent fantasy story "Journey to the heart of Equestria" was a smash with the little kids, inspiring many people to become explorers, and his story "A long time coming" has sent many young mares hearts a-flutter with the sheer romance that it contains.
Even with all the money he earns from his writing, he still needs extra money (don't ask where it goes, he will claim that there's a black hole in his wallet), so he moves from town to town writing for the local newspapers.
