First character attempt! I just had to try this one out.
-General Stuff-
Name: Valentine
Nickname/Alias(es): Val
Race: Earth Pony
Gender: Female
Age: Mare
Additional Status: She's like, so totally excited to be here.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: White
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Red and elegantly curled
Eye Color: Gold
Cutie Mark: Two hearts with an arrow through them
Other Scars/Markings: Often wears shades to amp her coolness factor
Physique: Average
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: Ponyville
Job: She works in her mother's newly opened cosmetics shop
Mother: Heartstrings
Father: Chocolate Chip
Sibling(s): None
Other Family: None that I can think of
Closest Friends: Valentine just recently moved to Ponyville, so she has no friends here yet.
Courting/Courted By: Nopony, but she sure wishes otherwise!
Mate: That's her current determination
Foal(s): One step at a time
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Romance, love, babies (of nearly any kind--baby spiders probably terrify her), compliments, chocolate, daydreaming, looking good, stallions, stallions, stallions!
Dislikes: Hard manual labor, bad mane days, being told to get her head out of the clouds.
Motivation: Valentine is motivated by love. She wants to have the perfect boyfriend one day more than anything and moreover she wants everypony else to be in love, too. Nothing makes her happier than happy couples. Well, maybe the prospect of being a part of one herself.
Strengths: Kind, loyal, optimistic, friendly, empathetic, and can perceive relationships of all kinds between others rather keenly.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Obsessive, nosy, daydreams when there's actual work to be done, is a hopeless romantic, has rather skewed priorities in life.
Fears: Looking stupid in front of a good-looking boy, being rejected, ending up *gulp* SINGLE FOREVER!
Overall Persona: Valentine is bubbly, not at a Pinkie Pie level but definitely upbeat. She loves being involved with others--maybe a little TOO involved. She won't hesitate to pry into your business and hatch a scheme to fix your problems when you haven't even asked for her opinion. And Celestia help you if you're single. She will launch a crusade to find you your perfect sweetheart whether you want one or not, absolutely convinced that she's doing all parties involved a great service. Her ideas about romance are cliched and shallow, however. She believes in the impossible ideal of perfect happy couple-hood with all her pony heart. If she were a human we can only assume she'd be an avid Twilight reader. Yeah, she's one of THOSE types.
This flawed, often downright obnoxious matchmaking trait makes earning friendships harder than she would have thought, and she of course doesn't understand why. Having just moved from Fillydelphia to Ponyville, she is super excited to meet new ponyfolk and ogle new stallions. She can frequently be seen with her (appropriately) rose-tinted sunglasses, looking pristine and unblemished in case any eligible stallions happen to walk by. She certainly can't pass by a mirror without primping. Shallow though she may seem, however, she genuinely cares about the well-being and happiness of others, and can be quite selfless when somepony is in need. True to her nature, she has a very big heart.
