Overall Persona: Cadia Ironhoof is the youngest of 9 born to a lower class family within the icy city of Stalliongrad. The entire family worked along the bank of a small lake where they collected clay and other materials for their bricks; in fact the name Ironhoof had been won by Cadia's great grandfather when he won the sole rights to their clay pit by standing in the cold wet clay longer than any of his rivals who had issued the challenge. However things did not remain prosperous for the Ironhoof family. The first major incident that led to their exodus was the fact that Stalliongrad had little more use for their brickmaking business. More often than not Cadia's father and sons took jobs as laborers in order to feed the family. As a younger filly Cadia attempted to help by taking jobs around neighboring homes, which was where the poorer pony gained access to books. It was in the homes of the upper class where she began to be enveloped into reading different stories both fiction and nonfiction; though it proved difficult due to her seeing impairment. While life was difficult it thus far did not seem necessary to move out of Stalliongrad.
It was the collapse of the clay pits that finally caused the move, around this time Cadia had gained a cutie mark based on her reading. This was celebrated only half-heartedly by her brothers and father as they were at best only base literate and saw little gain from a intellectual in these desperate times. At this point the family would split up as three of Cadia's brothers decided to head to Hoofington to make bits for the family while three others would go together to Fillydelphia for the same goal. That left Cadia and her parents who decided to move between these two places in Ponyville where they hoped to start anew with the incomes of the elder brothers coming in from out of city. The journey itself was rather long and tiring, but Cadia kept her feelings of exhaustion to herself-having felt that she was on eggshells with her father for not having a mark of a laborer like the rest of her family. Her father never spoke out any aggressive words toward Cadia or her cutie mark, but nevertheless she kept it hidden from her parents by wearing skirts most of the time. Having just recently arrived at Ponyville Cadia and her family are eager to rebuilt and become even greater than before.
