-Physical stuff-
Pelt color: Acid green
Mane/tail color: Bright Red
Eye color: Bright Red
Cutie mark: A distorted green gemstone in the shape of an arrow, symbolizing his need for speed.

Physique: Exceedingly muscular around the legs and quite well built everywhere else.

Current residence: Appleloosa
Likes: Autumn, races and sweets. Then there's mares, though he's not a big ladies stallion. He likes to talk to them though, maybe even flirting when he get the chance at it.
Some other smaller things that Emerald likes that don't really require any description.
Dancing. Late nights. The stars. Clouds during daytime. The setting sun. The rising sun. Fireworks. Morning walks. Afternoon sprints. Evening walks. A nice cup of coffee. Structure.
Dislikes: Un- or demotivation of any kind. Unsportive ponies. Then there's arrogant ponies, thought that's not a huge dislike for him. Finally, his biggest dislike, is any rival that doesn't really enjoy a race or plays fair.
Some other smaller things that Emerald doesn't like that don't really require any description.
Pure darkness. Waking up early. Breakfast before a morning walk. Lunch before an afternoon sprint. Dinner after an evening walk. A cup of tea. Non-structure.
Motivation:
Running, always running. Never once has Emerald taken something at a steady pace. Be it sports, be it homework. He always felt a very strong feeling that he wanted to go fast. Really fast. But 'till that fatefull day in Stalliongrad elementary school, Emerald never knew HOW fast he really could go.
It was a sports competition, with all kinds of sports. Even though it was small, it had flying through hoops for the pegasi and jumping over hurdles for the earth ponies and unicorns. But the part that interested Emerald the most, was the whole mile sprint. At the start alone, Emerald felt a thrill he had never experienced before! Ten seconds to the start of the race, Emerald controlled his breathing and prepared himself to run. Nine seconds, Emerald felt the nerves coming on to him. Eight, seat started to trickle down his face. Seven, his knees started shaking. Six, his eyesight blurred. Five, he started to feel sick. Four, he nearly lost his consciousness. Three, he didn't even hear the cheering of the audience anymore. Two, Emerald couldn't see the track anymore.
The last second before the start of the race, this one seemed to last an eternity! The referee raised the startingpistol, so slowly it seemed it was going in slowmotion. At the sound of the gun, Emerald felt like he was standing still. So he opened his eyes and tried to start running right away. What he realized then, was that he was already ahead of everypony competing! The ground beneath his hooves, the wind in his mane, it was unlike anything he had ever felt before! Faster, he wanted to go faster! Then, just when he thought this race couldn't get any better, it happened.
Most ponies thought that the Sonic Rainboom was the only technique that could make ponies go faster than sound. But on that day, Emerald proved that it was possible for earth ponies to do the same thing. With a loud bang and a terrifyingly powerful shockwave, Emerald broke the sound barrier and a scream was heard. It was a hight-pitched scream, as if wind was blowing past something very sharp very quickly. It was his mane and tail, now in the shape of very sharp knives. Reaching the end, Emerald looked up the the audience in awe. They were cheering and shouting, calling Emerald 'the Scream' over and over again! That's when Emerald knew, this was who he was. He was, Emerald Scream!
Seven years after that incident, Emerald was known all over Stalliongrad because of his running skills! He was finally offered scholarship as an athlete! Only problem was, he would have to move all the way to Appleoosa! He ended up never telling anypony, running towards the early morning train and leaving his friends and family behind without as little as a goodbye. Towards his new future as an athlete, in Appleoosa.
Strengths: His kind heart and helping demeanor. Emerald will gladly give up his time to help somepony in need of help. His speed is another pro, as that makes it possible for him to move from place to place without too much trouble.
Flaws: Kind of arrogant because of his speed, not really thinking about other ponies when races are involved. He's also quite clumsy when it comes down to that same speed, which makes him stumble over the most idiotic of things.
Overall persona:
Though his physique makes him look like he's a very rough pony, he's completely not. To be fair, he's more of a softy than a rough type. Always trying to make friends, or rivals at the least. When a race is involved, Emerald can't do anything but join in or at least try and win. It's never about truly winning though, the adrenaline from the race itself is completely worth it. Emerald is also extremely trustworthy, somepony who won't give away your secrets no matter how small.
