Stepping off the train, a warm beam of sun struck Fizzy Pop's face. For a moment she basked in the gentle warmth of the beam she would never see. A cacophony of joyful voices filled her ears, ponies greeting each other with love and happiness.
"Are you ready to go?" Her mother wondered softly, coming up to stand shoulder to shoulder with Fizzy.
"Yes mom!" Fizzy chirped with delight, almost vibrating with pure excitment. "Do you think we'll get a chance to see the princess?"
Orange Squash gave a soft tinkling laugh at her daughter's excitement. "I suppose anything is possible dear. This is Ponyville after all. The friendliest town in Equestria." Together the two mares trotted along, Fizzy Pop maintaining contact with her mother. "Now Fizzy, are you sure you'll be alright while I'm gone for a few hours?"
"Yes mom!" Fizzy giggled. "I'll be just fine, I'm fairly good at navigating around and that new spell really helps me."
Orange Squash came to a stop and Fizzy Pop halted, turning her head towards her mother. "I know Fizzy, I know. I can't help but worry sometimes." Nuzzling her daughter affectionately, Orange Squash sighed. "Keep following this path and eventually you'll reach the park. Becareful you don't fall into the lake."
Retuning the nuzzle, Fizzy nodded her head. "Of course mom! I'll be fine, don't you worry about me. You just find a good place to set up our ice cream parlor, okay?"
With a parting kiss, Orange Squash trotted away.
Excitment surged in Fizzy's heart and she resumed her foreward trot. Every so often her horn emitted a pale golden pulse which illuminated at five foot ring about her. Staying along the edge of the path, Fizzy carefully made her way to the park. The trip and her spell soon wore her out so that by the time she arrived at the pond, she was a bit drowsy. Making her way over to the pond, she found a nice cool quiet spot to settle down. The smell of fresh grass, the gentle breeze and the soft lapping of waves on the lake soon lulled Fizzy into a gentle nap.
