-General Stuff-
Name: Rip Deal
Nickname/Alias(es): He often makes up other aliases and names on the spot due to being somewhat infamous, along with being fairly secretive in general.
Race: Pegasus
Gender: Male
Age: Stallion
Additional Status: He's somewhat infamous for what he does, mainly in selling bootleg and faulty items and ripping off his customers with the tales he spins, along with being a con in general. Due to this reputation he travels a lot, only staying in one place at most for a week. He often wears an outfit covering his main body to hide his cutie mark as to not make others so suspicious of him and to hold all his wares. He wears a watch, the only one in his collection to actually work.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: A slightly greener shade of teal.
Mane/Tail Color and Style: His mane is a shade of Han Purple with his tail having a huge streak of bright blue mixed in with the main color. He uses hair gel to slick his mane back, though he doesn't do the same to his tail.
Eye Color: A dark shade of Thulian pink.
Cutie Mark: A set of three items that are grouped together; a violin, a watch, and a ring. However, if you were to look closely you can see that the violin seems to be missing a string, the watch has 13 lines (correct me if I used the wrong term), and the ring actually seems have a stone... that's a stone, a plain old rock. Usually this is hidden by what he wears.
Other Scars/Markings: None.
Physique: Somewhat muscular.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: Has no permanent residence as he travels around a lot. He often stays in hotels or whatever he can stay in at the moment.
Job: Calls himself a 'Merchant'; Read: Con-artist.
Mother: Antique Deal
Father: Oddsin Deal
Sibling(s): A brother.
Other Family: None.
Closest Friends: None as of yet.
Courting/Courted By: None as of yet.
Mate: None as of yet.
Foal(s): None as of yet.
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Rip likes money, especially when he makes a lot of it. He likes lying, as it gives him a bit of power over someone for knowing someone they don't, though he doesn't lie about absolutely everything. Seeing the 'rich pigs' get 'what they deserve', meaning that he enjoys seeing those in higher class suffer a downfall (mainly economically), feeling that some sort of justice is being served. He also likes seeing anyone suffer a downfall; liking to tell himself how 'luckier' he is than them. He also likes seeing others do 'worse' things than he is, comforting himself that surely he's better than they are. He enjoys being a con-artist, even with having move around all the time, since it gives him a prideful sort of feeling, having known that he just sold some filly a piece of junk for way more than it's worth. He likes those who are naive and gullible, as they are the easiest to trick and deceive. He also likes those who are shy, as he can pressure them easily.
Dislikes: He does not like being caught for his actions, as that usually means being arrested and getting confronted causes him anxiety, though this really depends on who confronts him. He doesn't like the rich, mainly those who live in places like Manehattan and Canterlot, and doesn't like any royalty in general, believing them to be hogging all the riches to themselves and keeping everyone under their hooves, and all sorts of pre-justices he has against those in the higher class. Though he has no gripe about trying to get as much bits as he can from them. He has a dislike for his parents, mainly his father who he still has a grudge on today. He doesn't like being wrong, as that often hurts his pride, though not as much as getting tricked himself. He dislikes being confronted by others, though again this depends on who is confronting him. He doesn't like staying in one place or having to be with someone for too long.
Motivation: To escape from anyone who might catch onto him, especially the Equestrian Guards, to make money, and to successfully rip off and sell his wares for way more than they're worth.
Strengths: He can think of a lie on a dime. He can put on a mask of being cool and calm, when really he can be quite careful about what he does, not wanting others to find out that he's really lying to them. He can analyze and find patterns in what others do. He can be quite good at making up a story about something and about putting on an act. He's rather confident about himself, excluding when he's confronted, he usually doesn't back down easily, being persistent about selling something to someone and they may even buy it just to get him off of their backs. He's also good at pick pocketing and stealing. He can make quick escapes, provided he can think of an escape route quick enough.
Weaknesses/Flaws: He can be very assumptive about everyone, especially about royalty and the 'rich'. He judges everyone by his assumptions, pre-justices, and his first impressions, though this doesn't mean that they're rock solid, but he's rather surprised when he turns out to be wrong about someone. But his assumptions about the rich and royalty are harder than diamond. Though he has a knack for manipulating and putting on a ruse, his confident air may eventually make him careless enough to give himself away. He has trouble with his lies once they begin to stack up. If confronted by the right guy/gal, he'll start to get somewhat anxious and may go to desperate measures to keep up the lie, or just hightail it right out of there. He's not one to be trusted and would definitely abandon you if things get too rocky, though that would be assuming that he's really on your side. He's a kleptomaniac, having an impulse to steal whatever he can fit into his pockets and finds it hard to resist stealing at least something from someone. He's also hypocritical, as though he views royalty and the rich as being selfish, he wouldn't dare to give any of his money away to those poorer than him, even if he had an excess amount, though he would refuse very, very large amounts of money. He's bad with money matters, often spending almost all of it as soon as he gets his hooves on some.
Fears: Getting caught, getting confronted, and royalty somewhat.
Overall Persona: Rip even looks like the kind of guy you might not want to trust, though his acting may win you over and eventually you might believe that he's giving you a deal... Where did that sack of money you had in your back pocket go? You certainly didn't use it to pay for the watch you go- Wait, this is a bootleg! You might try to confront him, only to see that he's already flown off.
Rip was brought up thinking that the rich, along with Celestia and all other royals, are just keeping the others away from all the riches while they hog it all to themselves, when really it was just his family taking it out on the ‘higher ups’ for being so bad with money. His father often bet all their money away while his mother had been an expert in supply and demand, yet she always horded all the ‘treasures’ she bought, claiming that she's waiting for them to gain more value in money. His parents would often fight about whose fault it was about money matters, when really they had an equal part in fault. But then one day his father won the lottery big time, but soon moved away from his family, never sharing any of the riches, which only fueled his assumptions against the higher class.
He got his cutie mark after having successfully scammed a bunch of foals for their baseball cards. Ever since he’s only gotten better and better at his scamming. He often moves around, since after awhile some tend to catch on, though how long he stays depends on the location.
