Scribble sat on the grass in the Ponyville park, intent on writing, but had paused to embrace the warm summer sun. The pegasus had done a great job clearing the sky of every cloud, and she felt it was her responsibility to appreciate it. After all, she was a guest in this village and the pretty weather felt welcoming of her. She sat for minutes with her eyes closed, basking in the sun's radiant warmth before she decided that it was time to actually get down to business. You see, while she awaited potential arrivals, she had decided to make her daily entry in the journal. Her horn assumed a pinkish glow and the satchels that hung like bags over her back opened gently, and out floated a quill and piece of paper. The satchel was sealed again with the straps tightening as the paper and quill floated up in front of her, and she began to scribble.
"Dear journal, though as I mentioned in elaboration in my previous entries, I am not sure why I adress you as a sentient entity. Today I hope to finally get to the bottom with this strange Everfree Forest map though, that you remember I mentioned trading for one of my books. Anyway, I'm currently in Ponyville where I've yesterday put up posters regarding my interest in hosting an expedition into the Everfree Forest, in search for treasures untold"
Her horn took on a glow again and once more was the satchel unstrapped. She pulled out a piece of paper and moved it in front of her, unraveling it and moved it towards her slightly to have it in reading range. "Greetings, Ponyvillians. What you're currently reading is a poster by Scribble Scryer, wandering writer and adventurer. I have come to your beautiful village in hope to host a not necessarily unfrightful expedition and treasure hunt into the Everfree Forest. To my assistance there will be a guiding map and hopefully a good few brave or curious ponies with a good attitude towards adventures. I will set out tomorrow at noon with everypony interested. Adventure kit and over-night equipment will be brought by me, but bring food in case of camping. Hope to see many of you at tomorrow noon, in the Ponyville park. Best of wishes Scribble Scryer"
She nodded and rolled the piece of paper up again, putting it back into the satchel and sealed it shut tight again. She brought today's journal entry before her again and put her quill against it once more.
"I fear that in my attempt to make it brief, I did not include all the expedition might bring. Though given how close to the Everfree Forest Ponyville is, I suppose most here are already aware of the risks in venturing into it. I also worry that my poster did not expose my experience in this form of ventures as I hoped, with which I hoped to ease those uncertain. I do hope at least one show up. I don't think I am brave enough to venture into the forest on my own. There are many tales of terror regarding it, and while one of them is written by me, I can not help but be rattled up by the idea of going in there alone. What if there are snakes"
Scribble moved the quill up tapped it gently against her forehead, thinking of how to continue her journal entry. She opened one of the pockets in her handy vest and brought out a slice of apple. She gently moved it into her mouth and started chewing it fondly. She sure loves apple. The sun moved friskly in the sky, and Scribble started getting that giddy feeling of excitement. What amazing ponies would she get to hang out with today?
