Crash awkwardly nodded her head and smiled as Slide went inside to take a nap. She then frowned and looked back up into the sky. She took a long breath and sighed. She had no idea what to do. She didn't even want to think about it anymore.

Crash got up from her chair and trotted inside quietly so she wouldn't wake Slide up. She then went to grab her backpack and brought it outside. She then opened it up and pulled out her tour dates. She took a quick glance at it, and saw her first race for this tour was in just a few days. It was in Cantorlot, so she didn't have to travel anywhere. She still had no idea it was in a few days!

"Oh my gosh! I seriously need to practice now," she said, putting the tour dates back inside her backpack. She then searched around for some objects she could use for obstacles. Crash looked up at the blue sky and saw some clouds moving her way. She smiled then took off into the sky to grab the clouds and make a race track. She grabbed a few clouds to make a large starting line/ finish line. She then grabbed a few more to make the base of the track, then grabbed a few more to make some barrels and hurdles.

"Perfect!" she said. She started at the starting line, and then blew a fake whistle with her mouth. She took off around the race track a few times, only hitting a cloud barrel once, which docs off a few points, but she didn't care. That meant more practice!

After about an hour of practicing, she began to grow tired. She then grabbed some ropes and tied down the cloud race track to keep for a while. She then landed onto the ground and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Slide only slept for a few minutes, but when he woke up, he felt like he was napping for a good three hours. He noticed Crash had entered the house and made her way to the kitchen. Slide began to think up a plan. "Maybe I should see what happens if I tickle her with a feather from one of my wings. I can see it now." Slide dreamed about the scene of what would happen. Putting the plan into action, he carefully plucked a feather off of one of his wings, wincing in pain. Examining the feather, he carefully held it in his hooves. He never preened his wings in a while but this feather would do the trick. Now each wing on a pegasus is equal in measure, meaning every feather is exactly the same length, with a few feathers being short. Slide did a test tickle and chuckled quietly. Slowly, he got up from the couch and hid behind a wall near the kitchen. Slide watched Crash finish her glass of water and since she was exhausted, made her way into the bedroom for a rest. Slide slowly trotted through the kitchen, holding the feather in his mouth. Checking that the coast was clear, he opened the bedroom door carefully. Slide saw Crash laying down on her back, sleeping as she snored quietly. "Goodness. I think she had just practiced flying and must be exhausted," Slide thought. But he was ready. Taking the feather from his mouth, he held it with a hoof over Crash's chest. "Hey Crash!" And suddenly Slide began to tickle Crash, ready to see her react to what he was doing.

Snoring peacefully, Crash's ear twitch. She always knew when this happened in her sleep, something strange was up. She woke up suddenly, but kept her eyes closed just in case it was an intruder. She quietly heard somepony approaching her, then when they called out her name, she flung open her eyes. All of a sudden she felt something rubbing against her. It was soft and fluffy, but something she's felt before. She looked down to see a feather tickling her stomach. She jolted into the air then looked down to see a blurry pony underneath her. She was still tired, so when waking up, her eyes never adjusted to the light that flashed her in the face. She then plummeted straight down to the mysterious pony, not even noticing who it was. She then took a few strike with her hoof, still trying to adjust her eyes.

"INTRUDER! INTRUDER!" she yelled trying to hit the pony. Slide finally spoke, which made Crash stop in the process of getting another strike.

"Oh it's just you! Sorry Slide," she said, rubbing her eyes. She then landed softly onto the ground and smiled.

"I didn't mean that, I just thought someone was going to take me or something," she looked at the loose feather. "Or try to kill me with this feather."

Crash laughed then sat back onto the bed and closed her eyes.

"I was seriously having a good dream and you ruined it," she chuckled. "By the way I'm not ticklish," she continued giving a small smirk. She then sighed and curled up into a ball trying to go back to sleep.

"Of course you are ticklish! That was a good joke by the way. I did that once to Green. Well long story short, I was in the hospital for three days. He bucked me in the face, breaking by muzzle. But thanks to the nurses and doctors, I was healed. They told me never to tickle any sibling like that again. But that was the first time I did that." Slide got up from the floor and sat back on the bed. He turned on the light, illuminating the interior of the bedroom. There were elegant paintings on the walls and many other luxurious decorations in the room. Slide laid his bed on the pillow. "Crash, I've been wondering. Do you think I'm humorous or occasionally random at times? I can tell a good joke but I don't want to offend anypony. I know plenty of trombone jokes and other musical jokes as well. It's just that I promise to keep a positive attitude," Slide said to Crash as he stared at the bedroom ceiling. The ceiling was completely bare. "I wonder what would it be like if there was a mirror right over our bed?" Slide thought to himself. Completely bored, Slide got up off the bed and went to get his trombone out. Exciting as it is to play the instrument, most solos he already knew how to play. Before he opened the case, he decided to sing a song instead. Slide trotted back into the bedroom and closed the door behind him. "Crash, I would like to sing a song for you. I hope you enjoy it." Slide hummed the note and began to sing.

Slide finished the song and bowed impressively. "So! What did you think of the song?"

Crash clapped her hooves after Slide was done singing the song. She smiled at him.

"Good job Slide. Speaking of songs, I've been writing one of my own. It's not ready yet though, so you can't hear it yet," she said, grinning at a piece of paper that sat on the small desk next to the bed. She grabbed it with her wing then went out of the room. She sat down onto the couch and got out a quill and a cup a ink. 'Okay, so where did I leave off?'

Crash began to write the song. After about an hour she finished then folded the sheet and went into the bedroom again. She then sat onto the bed and looked around.

"Gross this room is messy!" she said looking at all the plates and things on the ground. She sighed then flew up into the air. She grabbed all the plates and dishes in general into the sink from the kitchen, nearly breaking everything that was laid in her hooves. She flew back into the bedroom and then grabbed a garbage can from the closet. She opened the can then went around and threw everything into the bucket like a basketball being thrown into a hoop. Instead though she didn't miss any throws. She made all of them. Afterwards, she got all the clothes and threw them into a hamper. She then went back onto the bed and made it quickly. She placed her teddy bear and her hoofball onto the bed as well. She then simply sat down and huffed.

"Okay, done," she muttered to herself. She then looked up at Slide who was starring at her. She smiled.

"So I'm guessing you want to hear the song?" she asked.

Slide watched as Crash cleaned up the bedroom. She was doing a really good job at making sure that everything that was disgusting was cleaned up and disposed of properly. "Uh Crash. I only brought a tuxedo for clothes with me. And as you can see it's in the closet." Slide pointed his hoof to the opened closet. On a hanger was his entire tuxedo, pressed and ready to be worn at any gala or concert. "I'll buy some more clothes once the weather gets colder. Right now, I'm okay with not wearing my tuxedo all the time. I would be sweating profusely if I was still wearing it." Slide was getting a bit nervous. In Canterlot, everypony wore extravagant clothes that would cost from 50 to 1000 bits. When he lived in Ponyville, clothes were not that common. "I'm glad you enjoyed the song I sung to you. I can sing more but I know more tunes on the trombone than anypony else in Equestria. Heck, there are movements of pieces that I can play without looking at the music! The conductor is proud that I can play some movements by memory, but the other trombonists and other musicians in the orchestra are very jealous. Most of them can only play one movement by memory." Slide noticed the piece of paper on the bed. He picked it up and read the lyrics to the song. "My goodness! It rhymes, it makes sense. In my opinion, this could be your big break! I would love to hear it. Good luck!" He laid his head onto a pillow and with a smile on his face, was ready to listen to Crash's song.

"Yeah, sing the song. Hehe, singing..," she mumbled while picking up the piece of paper and looking at it with her deep blue eyes. She chuckled then took a deep breathe. She closed her eyes for a quick second then began to sing.

"When I race on the race track,

"I know it's more of a poem then a song, but I can still sing it," Crash said, taking another breathe then trotting over to the small closet in the corner.

"Well I don't really have clothes besides my horseshoes and stuff, but maybe we could go to the boutique or something?" she asked bringing out the horseshoes out of her bag. They were blue like her eyes and bandana.

"I usually wear these when I have a running race. Speaking of races, I have a race in a few days, hopefully that won't rush anything in particular. If you come it will be the first race you've seen me do. It's also in Cantorlot so we won't have to travel across Equestria or somethin'."

Crash put the horseshoes into the closet and slid the door shut. She then trotted to the be and sat down.

"Hey, where is Duck?" she asked looking around for the dog. Duck was under the blanket. He lifted his head then went out of the blanket and sat on top of Crash. Crash rolled her eyes then smile.

"Dumb dog," she muttered then pet Duck on the head.

Slide smiled as he listened to the song. It was a song that was meant for them. Crash finished the song and Slide applauded, clapping his hooves together. "My goodness! That song was amazing! You mentioned about my trombone, the connection we have together. It's perfect!" Crash explained that she only brought horseshoes and stuff. Also saying that she had a race in a couple of days. "Well I did say that I brought my tuxedo," Slide exclaimed as he wrapped a wing around Crash. "And I think I should wear it while you race. As the most professional trombonist in Equestria, I should be able to see you flying high as I cheer from below." Slide noticed that Duck was no where to be seen. Crash lifted the blanket and there was Duck. Soon he was sitting next to Crash, sleeping as she began to pet him. "I think you did make the right choice for a pet Crash. If I had a pet, Green and I would be arguing over who should feed the pet. I mean, we do have our differences. We both were born and raised in Cloudsdale. Do you think life would have been different if I met somepony else?" Slide was scratching the back of his head. Nervous as he was, having a different marefriend would be a little bit awkward. What he needed to know was he would love to see Crash flying fast around the course above the arena. He looked over at the clock. It was already past 9 o'clock at night and Slide was tired. "Crash, it's been a long day indeed. I'm off to get ready for bed. I'll be quick." Slide yawned as he hopped off the bed, got out a fresh towel from the linen closet, and trotted towards the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Crash took down her green mane out of the ponytail she always had on. It has had a long day indeed, and she awaited to get some rest. She did very much need some sleep for her race in a few days, and she was tired out of her mind anyway.

Crash got up from the bed, making Duck lift his head up in confusion, cocking his head side to side.

"Sorry Duck, I got to brush my teeth," she said then trotted over to the bathroom where Slide was. She knocked on the door, and without a reply, she sighed.

"Slide you in there? I kinda need to brush my teeth," she admitted, putting her muzzle in the crack of the door. She heard the shower turn off then a light trot come closer to the locked door. The doorknob shuffled around, then the door finally slid open, almost hitting Crash. She backed up so she could face the handsome red stallion in front of her.

"Thanks Slide, I'll just squeeze my way in," she said, flying over his head. She then landed in front of the sink and looked at herself in the mirror. 'Gross, my mane is all over the place. Meh, I'm going to go to bed anyway.'

Crash grabbed her hoofball related toothbrush and some mint tooth paste. She put the tooth paste onto the brush then turned on the sink water. She quickly dunked her brush under the water then started brushing her teeth. She soon spit out the water then washed off her brush and left the bathroom, turning off the light after herself. She flew in towards the bedroom, where Slide was already. Duck was laying on top of him, which she thought was hilarious. Crash rolled her eyes with a chuckle then climbed up into the bed. She tucked herself in then moved over to face Slide.

"So, if we ever have a foal.. what would you want them to be like?" she asked smiling a little.

After taking a cleansing shower, Slide got out the shower and dried himself off, making sure he didn't miss anything on his body that was wet. Satisfied, he looked in the mirror and did a couple of poses. "Goodness! I didn't know I was this handsome!" Slide thought as he admired himself. He got his toothbrush, applied the toothpaste, and began to brush his teeth. After brushing his teeth, he wrapped the towel onto his back. There was a knock on the door. Crash needed to brush her teeth too. "Just a second!" Slide called as he reached for the doorknob. Unlocking the door, he opened the door quickly, almost hitting Crash in the face. "Whoa! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" Slide replied as he quickly allowed room for Crash to enter the bathroom. Slide watched as Crash entered the bathroom, closing the door behind her. He took off his towel and placed in the laundry basket. Looking at the bed, he saw Duck upset. Getting into bed, he gave some space for Duck to lay next to him. Duck walked around in a circle on the bed and laid down next to Slide, closing his eyes and sleeping happily. Slide was about to go to sleep when Crash entered the bedroom, closing the bathroom door behind her. She flew towards the bed and noticed him with Duck. Slide blushed. It was hilarious to see Duck sleeping near him. Crash was soon in bed, the covers over her and her head resting on a pillow. Slide heard her ask a question. "Well Crash, foals are made by chance. It could be a filly or a colt. However, the race would be a pegasus since we are both pegasi. An earth pony foal wouldn't be able to fly with us and a unicorn foal would fail at learning new spells. Either way, I am exhausted and tired. Goodnight Crash!" Slide reached over and turned out the light. Laying his head on the pillow, he closed his eyes and went to sleep, dreaming of playing the trombone to their foal for the first time.

Crash simply nodded then turned her back towards Slide and closed her eyes. She started to think about having a foal, which she was not excited about. She was worried that she could do what her parents did to her when she was a filly. She hated that idea of leaving without a good bye.

Crash opened her eyes and looked around the dark bedroom. No light was in the room, which frightened Crash. Who knew what was lurking besides the bed, or closet? The yellow mare closed her eyes again, putting her hoof onto her chest. She realized she didn't take off her bandana, so she quickly did so and threw the bandana onto the floor next to the bed. She sighed then closed her eyes again. She rolled over a few times, trying to get comfortable. She finally found a nice spot then huffed. She finally drifted off to sleep.

The next morning was dark and gloomy. The sun wasn't up yet, or at least she thought is wasn't because of the clouds in the way. Crash opened her eyes to a little light of the day time. She sat up and looked around the bedroom. Duck and Slide were still asleep, so she flew out of the bed and into the bedroom. She looked in the mirror to see her baggy eyes. She sighed at her appearance then turned on the water in the shower. She stepped into the shower quickly, then washed herself. She hopped out and grabbed a towel to dry herself, finally looking cleaner then she did originally. She put her mane up into a ponytail then went back into the bedroom and put on her bandana. Afterwards, she trotted into the kitchen and started to make some breakfast for herself and Slide. She was cooking come hash browns. While they cooked, she put some more food into Duck's food dish. Duck from the bedroom heard the clicking of the food against the bowl, so he shot up and out of the bed and to the food dish. He started to eat it instantly.

Slide yawned as he woke up, stretching his wings and legs. Noticing that Crash was already awake, Slide got out of bed and trotted over to the bathroom. After using the bathroom, he closed the door behind him. "I may be a full grown stallion, but I need to remind myself not to miss," Slide thought to himself. Looking over towards the bed, he noticed that Duck was gone. Slide's stomach growled, meaning that he was indeed hungry. He sniffed the air. Licking his lips, he trotted out of the bedroom and made his way to the kitchen to see Crash making breakfast. Duck was happily eating his breakfast as Crash was dishing up the hash browns. "Good morning Crash! I see that you have woken up before me. I am a early riser, but on some days I do wake up a little bit later." Slide watched as Crash began setting the table, the plates with delicious hash browns ready for breakfast. "Go have a seat at the table Crash. I'll go prepare the drinks." Slide went over to a cupboard and got out two glasses. Placing them on the kitchen table, he went over to the fridge. Opening the fridge, he found a carton of grape juice next to the apple cider. He took out the carton, closed the fridge, and went over to pour grape juice into each of the glasses on the counter. Carrying the glasses carefully on a tray, he placed them both onto the table, one for him and the other for Crash. He sat down and began to eat his breakfast. "Wow! These hash browns are delicious!" Slide exclaimed as he ate his breakfast. Putting his fork down, he looked at Crash. "So, what are your plans for this week? Do you know what day of the week it is? Because we don't have a calendar."

Crash looked up from her plate of hash browns. 'The date today? It's Friday I thought. I usually have races on Saturdays.. so that would make sense.'

"Today is Friday. I have a race tomorrow though, so I have to practice. All day.. ugh," Crash said, giving a little sigh. She then yawned and got up from her seat.

"Alright, I'll be outside if you need me," she said, then flew outside and to her cloud obstacle course. She landed at the started line, then made her own gun sound, and shot off as fast as she could. She went around the obstacle course a few times, then landed back at the finish.

"Hmm.. I'm better then a few weeks ago, that's for sure." Crash started to think of her last race a few weeks ago. Only a few of her fans came, so it didn't make her feel better that she had to race in front of so many other ponies. She did get a good rank, which was 3rd place. She has done better though. Crash was happy this next race was in Cantorlot. A lot of her fans lived here.

A few moments of thinking about her fans and the race, she began to feel something.. strange. She looked around to see her cloud course flying off into the sky. Crash busted her way off the cloud and to the rope which held up together. She frowned then grabbed the rope with her mouth and brought the rope back down to the surface, carrying the whole course with her. She then tied it back up to the ground and sighed.

"That was a great work out," she said to herself, then heard Duck and Slide rush outside.

As Crash flew outside to practice, Slide did some thinking. "So let's see. If today is Friday, then tomorrow should be Saturday. Maybe I should get a calendar." Slide had finished his breakfast and began to collect the dishes. After washing and drying the dishes, he trotted over to the bathroom. Brushing his teeth and using the toilet, he was feeling fine and dandy. "That was an excellent breakfast," Slide thought as he trotted into the living room. He noticed that there was a calendar on the wall and today was Friday. He walked over to the window and looked outside. Crash was practicing on her flying course. "I can't believe she is so fast. A good racer and competitor too. Wait, what's going on?" Slide had noticed that the course was actually drifting away off course. Crash was able to restrain the course with a rope. "Duck! Wake up! We must see if Crash is okay. See if she is alright and all." Slide opened the door for Duck and they both ran outside. Looking up, Slide saw the flying course attached by a rope that was secured to the ground. "Crash! Oh my goodness! Is everything alright? And why is there a racing course above our house?" Slide asked nervously. Duck ran over to Crash, barking happily to see her again. "I was watching inside. I already cleaned the dishes from breakfast. Those hash browns were delicious!" Slide looked back up at the racing course. "So what do you think we should do now that your workout is over? Since it's a Friday, I don't have orchestra rehearsal for a while. But anyway, I think you are the best flyer ever in my book. I can't wait to see your race tomorrow!"

Crash sighed then folded in her wings and bit her lip.

"Slide I'm fine. Just fine. I was just practicing and all of the sudden the rope undid itself from the pole thing and started to levitate into the sky. Nothing serious. And the reason why there was a cloud course on top of the house was because I needed to practice so why not make a little race track to practice on? It also makes a great decoration for the house. It makes the house look unique in it's own way. Everypony will know that the fantastic Crash Course and the handsome Slide Fortissimo lives in this exact household. Nice idea huh?" she said smiling a little. She then sighed again and pet Duck who had a small nervous look on his face. Crash gave him a little smile then looked back up at Slide.

"Well you think I'm the best flier? That's so sweet! I personally think I am the best, but if you say so. And speaking of the race, since you are my fiancé, you get to sit in a special area for family. It's in the most perfect spot to see all the ponies that are racing! Also, there is a lot of bets up there, so we can earn a lot of extra bits just for knowing who is going to win! It's great! I've been up there a few times. My parents used to take me when they raced. Not anymore though, they lost there interest in me I guess," Crash said in a somewhat happy tone. Crash sat down with a huff.

"So what now?"
