Hey everyone, my name is Artemus, and I play pretend with colorful horses on the internet! I also play some music sometimes on Soundcloud. So let's get down to business! (to defeat, the hunsssss)
Who am I?
Well, as previously said, I'm Artemus. I'm a dyslexic college drop out with three years of musical instruction in various disciplines, including voice, piano, organ, bass, drums, cello, viola, and the violin. All of this aside, music is one of my many hobbies when I'm not working. My face claim is somewhat shifting, as my previous work had me help maintain aircraft at an international airport, but now it looks like I'll be inspecting them and helping to load food on and off of 'em. Previously, I was a speaker for various organizations (schools, churches, formal events). Be it mourning the death of a loved one, or explaining why theoretical physics is actually just fancy talk for 'I work for Disney', I like to talk and manipulate words in clever ways. If it gets to be overbearing, just say so!
My other hobbies revolve around writing - specifically Role-playing. I've been RP'ing for just about 16 years in live action, forum-based, chat-based, and tabletop RPGS. Due to some physical disabilities with my arms, I learned how to type before I could handwrite, I can safely manage a 70 WPM if I don't know what I'm saying ahead of time. I also have a terrible habit of typing exactly as I speak.
The rest of my professional and personal career involve various studies in psychology, chemistry, astronomy, astrology, religion, and computer science. Suffice to say, I'm somewhat of a sucker for knowledge. I enjoy knowing and experiencing things.
Roleplaying Experience
To be a little more specific on the times when I was actually RP'ing with others, I've run D&D (3.5, Pathfinder, 4), Shadowrun (5), and a handful of lesser known tabletop games (Fallout: Equestria homebrew, RIFTS, Ponyfinder, FEMTO, Stars Without Number). I'm also somewhat of a veteran from Mass Effect Universe (great community there.), and a whole host of unlisted forums that I've been a part of and/or admin of. Currently, I reside as a moderator and archivist for a chat site that hosts an MLP multiverse. It's about to celebrate 7 months of activity.
When it comes to roleplaying itself, I tend to try to match what's given to me. Sometimes there isn't much more than dialogue to say, but usually if I'm given something else to interact with (passively or otherwise) then I'll do my best to keep it relevant within the scene.
My Original Characters
I only really have one that I plan to bring to the table at the moment. Sonata Allegro was my very first pony, and he's currently my oldest OC of any particular universe, sitting at about 4 years old. Like all of my characters, he was generated by taking an aspect of what made me, well, me, and expanded upon that. Since then, he's evolved by a lot. I'm unsure how much of the previous storylines I've had for him I can haul over here, but if all works out, then I think he'll fit in just fine.
Other Questions? Just Ask!
I love people! I also play video games.
