Dusty voiced a low, hearty chuckle at Salamalec's comment about the announcer. For the longest time he'd been one of the few Prench speaking ponies in the area, which generally gave him little opportunity to speak it aside from when he'd lustily bellow Prench folk songs while he worked in the morning. But now it seemed as though he'd be able to truly indulge in his native tongue.
Trailing after the Sandlander he mused on his friend's recent activities. True, they sounded a bit boring when compared to some of the past adventures they'd been on, such as their previously shared train ride and its frosty consequences, but he decided it would be impolite to bring such topics up again without all of those involved present. Upon being presented to the lovely Arabesque, Dusty bowed humbly, introducing himself proudly.
"Ah yes, you can call me Dusty, madame Arabesque." The large blue pegasus then looked at Salamalec with some sorrow, "then you will not be joining us on this journey? But have no fear, I shall escort madame Arabesque and... eh? Your son will be joining us as well?"
He scanned the crowd curiously, certain he'd be able to spot a relative of these two proud ponies wandering through the crowd, but he was having a bit of difficulty spotting him. Dusty had been looking forward to the Sandlander's company once more, and was somewhat disappointed to having to take the journey without him, but he wouldn't let that bring him down.
As the group neared one of the train's entrances he reached around for his ticket and presented it to the porter with some casual cheer when he was suddenly addressed merrily as soon as the porter read the ticket.
"Thank you for joining us, sire!"
"EH?" Said Dusty, startled somewhat before he remembered where the ticket came from. "AH! Oh, no no, I am here on behalf of Prince Popoli."
He smiled sheepishly to the others, "aheh, a friend of mine who has a habit of getting others to do things that were intended for him. He seems to be the sort of pony who enjoys hearing others tell him about things rather than experiencing them himself, for the most part."
(( Going by gender, should we just assume Dusty's going to wind up sharing a room with Lucky? ))
