Dark Star felt as though the silence in the room was going to be the end of her. That is, until Silver spoke up. He mentioned how the two would always meet at some time or another due to the limited size of Ponyville, then made a joke about how he knew where she lived. The whole thing was done in a tone that would suggest a stalking issue, but rather than be intimidated by it, Dark Star found herself giggling at him. Obviously this had been his plan after hearing her sound so depressed. It was nice of him, and she made a mental note of her gratitude towards him afterwords.
After her little fit of laughter was over, Silver showed off his more noble side, as to be expected of someone born and raised in Canterlot. He bowed to her and mentioned how delighted he was to have been able to accompany her throughout the day, which she returned with a bow of her own. "It's been wonderful for me as well, Silver. Having you around has made this day even more special, thank you. I do hope we get to spend more time together at a later time, but until then..." she trailed of as she opened the door with her magic. She watched as Silver slowly rose his head from the ground, then closed her eyes and leaned in closer. She gave him a small kiss on his cheek and backed away with a smile on her face. "Stay in touch" she told him with a blush on her face and a glow in her eyes.
Without saying so much as a word, she closed her eyes and walked towards the stairs. She climbed them at a slow pace, flicking her tail from one direction to the other, until she reached the top. She turned and faced Silver with the same smile on her face. She looked at him endearingly for a moment and then turned to the other direction, seeming to disappear into the corridor that followed. She entered the bedroom and immediately slumped down onto her haunches, her face flushed and her eyes illuminating her exact position. She placed her fore-hooves onto her face and her eyes began darting around. 'What have I just done?' she thought as she re-traced her exact actions up to that point. Slipstream stirred from her slumber and arose from the bed, her hair down and her expression annoyed.
"What's goin' on, Bright-Eyes?" she asked in a tired tone. Dark Star stood up right away and trotted over to the window in complete silence. Being the curious one she was, Slipstream got out of bed and walked over to Dark Star's side. She seemed as if she was dazed by something, but the younger mare couldn't tell what it must've been. "If ya wanna talk about it, I'm always here for ya" Slisptream offered. Dark Star merely shook her head ever so slightly and continued her silent stare out the window. Whatever it was that was bothering her, Slipstream could wait to hear it at afternoon tomorrow. She walked back over to the bed and got herself comfortable right away, almost immediately falling asleep. Dark Star sighed and wondered if she made the right decision, doing what she did. She was only following an impulse, completely unlike her anyway, but she thought it would be best. Hopefully, Silver wouldn't be upset or awkward at this, she wondered.
