-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Doll has been sewing as long as she can remember, and so that, being her greatest love, is obviously on this list. Though, not all her likes and dislikes are associated with her cutie mark and job. To name a few, she enjoys curling up in bed with a good book (especially Daring Do!), the word "obnoxious" (spelling it too!), being with her grandmother, and smiling at random ponies on the street.
Dislikes: Doll isn't one to judge, therefore he list of dislikes is quite short, though it includes: seeing unhappy children, cooking (not only does se dislike it, she is horribly awful at it!), having to do work by hand when her machine is dead, and being misunderstood.
Motivation: Doll's motivation is making children and older mares and gentlecolts proud to be well-dressed and seeing how gallant and dashing they look.
Strengths: Some of her strengths include sewing (obviously!), making people smile, and staying on top of her responsibilities.
Weaknesses/Flaws: As mentioned before, Doll can’t cook for her life and has been known as a kind of pyromaniac in the kitchen. In addition to that, Doll has never been that great at anything athletic, and staying awake. She is definitely not a night owl, and always the first to bed at sleepovers.
Fears: Doll, being mostly an inside pony, fears many things that lay “outside the doors” she fears the dark (stereotypical I know!), insects, and timber wolves give her haunting nightmares for weeks. Luckily she has never run into one of those!
Overall Persona: Doll is a stellar teenager, very loyal to family ad friends, though the occasional over-planner. Despite her many time crushes, she is reliable and those who know her can always depend on her finishing their orders. She is often misunderstood as being a total drama queen, but really (at heart) she is always on top of things and keeping up with trends and her work. Her main purpose in life is to make people happy with her designs, and in all truth, she isn’t in it for the bits or the fame, in fact she is mainly only a local seller. Even hardly known of, she manages to find passion in her work.
Close friends describe her as bubbly and always seeing the glass as half full. But on occasion, when swamped with numerous orders and such, he glass seems empty and down. When in such moods, she finds peace and happiness in having support from her friends and doing free crafts for her own enjoyment. After all, who can’t be happy if you don’t have at least some fun!
She has never been bothered by her orphanism, and sometimes uses it to her advantage. Not in a evil way, mind you, Doll is anything but a villain. But she can use it to wiggle out of ancestral discussions that bore her half to sleep and such.
Overall, she is a happy-go-lucky seamstress with a personality to lighten any ponies face with her caring words and kind service. Doll is always there for who, though is picky with friends to make sure they will be there for her as well.
History/Background: Doll was born in, most likely, the frozen north to two ponies very much unfit to be caretakers of a foal like the young Dolly Patches. Still unnamed, she was put up for adoption anonymously, therefore, her parents have never been identified. The orphanage was hardly suitable up in the cold. Luckily, two older ponies, from Applewood, visiting the Crystal empire to test their sales on the translucent ponies stopped by the freezing orphanage. Not wanting to carry home too much baggage, they could only take one foal, though they would have liked to swaddle the whole bunch. They chose her for her unusual markings that reminded them of their line of work: clothing design. Naming her Dolly Patches, again after her coat, they started training her at a young age to carry the family name as tailors. Growing up, she was somewhat opposed to the idea, but gradually learned to love it, receiving her cutie mark when making a stuffed doll with a Hearth's Warming Eve gift of her first sewing machine. It turned out more the perfectly, her adopted parents wear beyond the moon in pride for their daughter. As soon as the final stitch was sewn, her rag doll cutie mark appeared. Her destiny set, she left Applewood for Baltimore across Equestria. Her parents were sad to see her go, but eager to spread the word of their business. There she now resides with friends and acquaintances, making toys and clothes for the ponies there.
