Raijin watched as the white pegasus flew off towards the park, or so he thought. The location of where Twisted Mix was heading isn’t really that important. What’s important is figuring out whether or not he was hallucinating. He actually wanted to give himself a little bop, but he didn’t want to do that in front of the wonderbolt. Even when the white pegasus became nothing but a little speck, before disappearing from view, Raijin still stood there looking up. He didn’t snap out of his trance until the stack of book fell onto the ground. The first thing the pegasus did was to pull his own cheek. ‘Yeah, I’m not dreaming.’ Realizing the event that is about to take place, he felt another surge of excitement. ‘This. Is. Going. To be awesome!’ He didn’t care whether or not he stands a chance against a wonderbolt. Win or lose, the experience will be great.
With his mind finally back in gear, Raijin picked up his belongings once again and flew off to get everything ready. After settling the stack of book somewhere, the yellow pegasus flew around Ponyville placing rings of cloud, wide enough for three ponies, that shows where the race takes route. Luckily the weather called for partly cloudy so he can use the clouds, though it doesn’t stop other ponies below to look up and question what he was doing. Unfortunately Raijin’s attention wasn’t on the other ponies. All he would have to do later is to put the clouds back into their original shape and place when the race is finished, but that can easily be done. Next came the two red flags that were easily made. Raijin plans to use the flags as the starting and finishing point. Looking at his little obstacle course the pegasus grinned at his work and just before he flew off towards the park to set the next course.
As Raijin arrive back to the park the one thing he fail to notice was the crowd that’s slowing gathering down below. His mind was too occupied looking for the right clouds, but that also proved to be an easy task and now the pegasus hover in the skies lining up five clouds. Only when Raijin finish giving each cloud a good few meters apart from each other did he look down below. He almost dropped the two flags he carried in his mouth and the yellow orbs attached to his head turned into pinpricks. He was not expecting spectators and he suspect it was the wonderbolt’s doing. As Raijin landed back on the ground, he made his way over to Twisted with a rather nervous expression on his face. “H-hey, what’s with the…crowd? I was not expecting this.” He spoke nervously, doing his best to smile, after taking the flags away from his mouth. The pegasus already knew why half the town was here, which was fine really. He doesn’t usually fit in with crowds, but suppose he can make an exception this time.
Slowly and still nervous, Raijin planted the flags before he drew a white line. He held a small smile and glance around to the other ponies. Some of them were talking to each other and he could see some ponies pointing their hooves to him. They were probably asking who he was and saying how he’s going to get left in the dust, not that it matters. He just needed to calm down and tune out all other distractions. “So the course is all ready. We’ll start from the line and circle around Ponyville. I’ve placed cloud rings around Ponyville to guide us through the race. After that we come back here, swoop in between the flags and head towards the second course,” He pointed above towards where five cloud were lined up, “Swerve around the clouds and dive back to the flag for the finish.” He finished explaining the details of the course as he glide a hoof from the air and made it swoop down. “Works for you?”
