((I realized that a lot of development will take place between the two, and I don't want to clutter someone else's RP with more than need be, so I figure I'll post some keys moments between the two in here to kinda help me develop them as well.))
The Train Ride Home
The train from Stalliongrad to Ponyville sped along on its merry way, and within sat three ponies. One, a large, shaggy blue pegasus, was sound asleep on his back, spread out on one of the train compartment's benches. The other two ponies, one as white as a candlestick and the other as black as a shadow, were seated on the same bench together, and facing one another. They were having some sort of hushed conversation, the larger of the two firing off almost a squirrel-like high speed collection of syllables, while the smaller was waiting for a brief silence before responding with a shorter, more simplistic but equally hushed respond.
Something the small black pony said got a bigger response, as suddenly the larger one became audible, "OOH! OOH! ME TOO!" Her eyes were so intense and fiery there was a slight chance the smaller pony might burst into flames just from being looked at with those eyes. The large sleeping pegasus slightly wiggled one of his legs at the outburst, but remained asleep. "They're great for scaring unsuspecting ponies!"
Cobblestone looked at Waxworks, and her enormous grin for a moment while he thought, before quietly saying, somewhat hurt, "spiders aren't scary."
Waxy blinked, looking surprised, "well, of course they're not."
The small black pony looked confused, "but, you said you scare ponies with them?"
A look of bemusement crept across the candlemare's face, as she was suddenly unsure of how to explain herself. Her face screwed up a bit as she thought, "uhm... hrm. Well fear's a funny thing... some ponies are scared of some things, but not others, and for some ponies it's the other way around."
Cobble listened quietly, in deep consideration. "So... you can be scared of good things?"
"Oh yes! Of course!" Said Waxworks, as she leaned in close, and half whispered, "like right now."
"You're afraid?"
Waxworks nodded, biting her bottom lip.
"...of me?"
She shook her head, and nudged Cobble's little chest with a hoof, then rubbed her own foreleg while she grinned nervously, "see... uhm... I've never been anypony's big sister before... I don't know if I'll be any good at it."
The little shadow looked at the nervous face of the pony that had entered his life just earlier that day, scooped him up, and carried him away. He smiled, his little white teeth contrastingly brightly against his pitch black face. "I've never been anypony's little brother before... and I'm scared too."
Waxworks leaned in close and whispered, "isn't it great?"
"Yeah."
