[[ This RP is taking place at the Green House and Nursery that is located between Sweet Apple Acres and Fluttershy’s Cottage. Map Location circled in the link! ]]
The morning had been progressively clear as the sun rose over horizon. Flowers and plants alike stirring from their slumber, turning their leaves to greet the sun as the rays began to warm the air inside the green house. Grace put the fern in charge as she went to get the daily water for the plants and trees, just to be sure they got enough to drink, despite the irrigation system that had been dug out as the greenhouse had first been beginning to thrive. The same old routine hardly ever changing unless she needed to run into to make a flower delivery to the floral shops. Otherwise she usually received a few days heads up before a Pegasus would come and pick up the order if it was more than a days travel by hoof.
As the day moved along in it’s cycle, clouds were beginning to gather though most of them just rolled on over; giving the greenhouse a chance to regulate it’s own temperature with a break from the sunlight. Though it seemed no matter how much they ate, they were always hungry. As she trotted through the garden, she spotted a little pink daisy. Stem drooping a bit while all the others were standing tall and taking in the rays. Grace offers a smile and nudged the flower gently as if to get it’s attention. “Did you have a fight with your friends? Is that why your sad?”
Nodding slightly as if they were holding a conversation. Icarus splashing around in the bird bath in a way to refresh himself, since he had his afternoon song coming. “Don’t take what they say to heart. There’s more than enough sunlight for you too.” A warm smile spreading across her face as a gentle breeze shifted the leaves, the petals fluttering gently. “Just wait. Soon enough you’ll be just as big as they are and everyone will see you. Just because you still have some growing to do doesn’t mean you can skip meal. It’s not healthy.” Icarus chirping loudly from the bath, an additional voice to the partial scolding of the flower. “Someone else will see you too. Sure there’s a chance you could end up as a treat, but you have to be hopeful silly. No giving up okay?”
Blowing her mane out of her face as she looked side to side to find where she had placed her watering can. This little flower could use a good drink with vitamins and minerals to help it grow. She didn’t have to tell the daisy that all the growing it would do and how big it would get, was because it wanted too. Not because of the water… well partially the water, but it’s all in the will. Where she found the watering can was by some roses that looked like they were going to pull some bendy straws out from behind their leaves to take a drink. “No,” pointing a hoof at them, narrowing her eyes. “What did I tell you about drinking too much? It’s not good for you. It all goes to your roots. If you think you’re good with bees now, just wait until all that water catches up with you. It won’t be pretty and the marigold’s will say start with the ‘I told you so’s.”
