Elias was out in the markets collecting a sack of coal he had ordered from one of the stall owners. He had finally picked up his order and had it all crammed into his saddle bag ready to take back to his workshop when suddenly he realized the large crowd that had befallen around the market. Lot's of ponies of all sizes and colours were wandering around between stalls and Elias didn't want to risk getting knocked and spilling his bags contents onto the ground so he decided to take a route through the less visited part of the market. He was walking down one of the side roads when suddenly a white Mare with a nice blue mane swept past him, he noticed that she was crying. Elias watched her disappear round a corner, "Poor girl, I hope she's alright" he said to himself. Elias slowly followed the white Mare's path, but then a lilac coloured Mare ran past in the same direction, "Hmmm, 'am guessin' she's heading after that white Mare too, might as well go and see what all the fuss is about."
Elias was able to keep sight of the lilac Mare long enough to follow her to the location of the white Mare that ran past earlier. Elias had to trot slowly and carefully so that the coal in his packs didn't slip out. Elias watched what was happening from a distance as the white Mare approached the lilac one. He could see the white Mare's sweet blue eyes in tears as she said something to the other. He was hoping not to be seen and was anxious about what would be said if he was, but he was more concerned to find out if the Mare was alright than anything else right now.
