Overall Persona:
Nightsky Prancing is a light green deer born around the same time Pio was, and became friends with him. He is from a family that was closely tied with the Eclipsa and as such worked with them on many of their fanatical Nightmare Moon-worshipping escapades. They however knew that Princess Luna would return and Eclipsa would fail, however, and kept their relations quiet. Before the first Uprising, they would serve as sort of a Harbinger force for the Eclipsa before they were hired to work against criminals (a harbinger is someone or a group of officials that would try to use reason to stop an enemy from fighting before resorting to more drastic measures), for example Diamond Dogs or some other sentient monsters, and therefore have a strong family history of being speakers. After Nightmare Moon was imprisoned, this family slipped away without a scratch. When she was again defeated, the held their heads high as they practically galavanted back into their various hometowns like nothing happened. Still though, they do keep it secret.
Pertaining to the tradition of speaking, Nightsky became a secretary and aide for the Mayor of Fillydelphia, though on occasion he does wander into Ponyville to visit and reestablish friendships with the ponies. He'll generally leech off of any friends that Pio Neero/Lunar Pion has. He tries his best, but he's rather shy. Because he's not a member of the Royal Guard for obvious reasons, he does some spying out of old habit, sometimes to help out others. He favors living simply and quietly. For how shy he really is, one of his special talents, hence his cutie mark, is his ability to stay calm under and talk his way out of almost anything.
