Likes: The sky and the magic that drives it, going to the Ponyville library to read a good book, and spending time with friends. Enjoys classical music and tries to write stories but isn't too great at it. Loves to be in the dark, especially under the moonlight.
Dislikes: Going to parties or any other large gathering of ponies. Artists like DJ P0n-3. Sports and fashion.
Motivation: Studying the night sky and meeting other ponies with similar interests as himself.
Strengths: Very intelligent student and dependable friend. Eloquent and persuasive speaker.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Not very creative, (which is why his stories aren't great) and is moderately shy in public places. Can't hold a conversation with a filly without getting nervous and silent.
Fears: Nightmare Moon, (though he knows she isn't real. Right?) Manticores, and fillies.
Overall Persona: Starlink and his older brother Starshine grew up with their parents in Appleloosa. He spent countless nights sprawled out on the warm sand of the desert plains, looking up at the night sky and pondering the sort of magic it took to bring such life to what he saw. He wanted to know what was out there, beyond the land of Equestria, and it was then that he made two goals for himself. The first was to know the sky, and the second was to one day meet Princess Luna and ask her the questions he had saved just for her. He eventually moved with his brother to Ponyville, and was surprised by the change. He found that he missed the few people he knew in Appleloosa, and the amount of ponies everywhere made him realize how much of an introvert he really was. Star has some trouble making friends in school, but finds his way through and doesn't hesitate to converse with somepony interesting. He wouldn't mind having a filly to talk to, but he always makes a fool of himself around them anyway. Today, he spends much of his time in the library or at home looking at the sky and jotting down theories.
