(This'll be the only separate thign on this thread that I'll do ^^;. All my other character logs will be consolidated into a single one.)
Moonstone, for a while, will be on the trail of several craftsponies of ancient times. While an Eclipsa, her smokey white complexion and physical speed were not exactly ideal for stealth, and she stayed home and minded the crafts, where she became an accomplished Glassmith. While her cousins were out harassing the Guard, she was at home safely tucked away making money from her work for the cause. In her spare time, when not crafting, she would read.
And of the Eclipsa Family's wells of knowledge, somewhere near the bottom of the case, she found an old history book. It was the general stuff for such a textbook, but it was very, very old, predating the Unification of Equestria. It also contained a small footnote that interested her: a lot of the old structures were built, inspired, or designed by several prominent names- all the glass from one pony, the mortar from another, the list went on. All were lost with time.
Years later, now that the Rebellion is over, she works to overcome her shyness and adventures out into the wilds to look for the secrets of the Ancient Masters. These are her logs.
(OOC: Dead boards are assumed automatically complete)
1) Master of the Arcane Glass
Board: To Answer the Call friendshipismagicrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sbeach&action=display&thread=1799 (dead)
"Dear journal,
we've found the Palace of Glass on one of the coastal regions. It was amazing. I'd never seen sand arranged like that! I've finally gotten my hooves on it, an actual treasure! The Amplifying Sands...the glass I make from this can make the weakest unicorn be a match for Celestia herself (don't tell her I said that, please- I'm writing in ink, I can't erase it)! I didn't think it really existed...and now, the Spring of the Amplifying Sands is finally mine. I've taken enough to tide me over for years, you only need the slightest sample in a work to experience the amplification.
And....you know what? I think that that spectre of the glassmith was one of the Ancient Masters I read about when I was a filly! Could this mean that the other ones, too, also have their secrets hidden away somewhere out there?"
-Moonstone and Thunderheart have discovered the Palace of Glass and partook of its secrets
2) The Silent City
Board: A Light on the Horizon friendshipismagicrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ts&action=display&thread=2862 (dead)
"Dear journal,
Horizon was quite a sight to see. It was beautiful. I've never seen such a pristine hideaway in the mountains like that. I took as much of the Silent Sand, as I've dubbed it, the material that suppresses almost any kind of magic once it itself absorbs an ample amount, as I could. The Solar Guard also got his cut. I shouldn't write this here, I know, but he was ready to go through a lot of trouble to find that little piece of cloth. I wonder what the Guard wants with it? I'll send a letter to Pio, maybe, but he probably won't be allowed to tell me anything.
We found no trace of the Masters. There should have been some sign of one, the Master of Silence, as the tome at least breifly mentions him, but it doesn't seem that he had set up shop there. It merely appeared to be where he got his supplies. That's well and good and all, but we need his recipes as well."
-The Horizon Expedition faces a lot of danger, but they eventually reach the city and take its Silent Materials, Silent being suppressing magic. The Master of Silence left no trace of him/herself.
3) The Master of the Ivory Forge
Board: Legend of the Ivory Forge friendshipismagicrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ts&action=display&thread=3202 (ongoing)
"Dear journal,
I really ned to find a better way to greet you with these other than saying that. I've been reading through that book the Solar Guard gave me in return for finding the cloth, and, it turns out, it's actually even a little older than the other one. I can't believe that I've caught up so soon, but, I found the trail of another of the Ancient Masters! I know it's so soon after Horizon, but I can't wait for this one. We're leaving today, once I get some more mercenaries rounded up."
-results unknown, ongoing
4) Birth of the Twinkling Furnace (not an adventure)
Board: (none yet)
"Hey journal,
I've been thinking. Do you think that maybe I could be a better Master, and I could outdo the Ancients that we're finding?"
-not started
5) Master of the Arcane Flow
Board: Not started
"Hi again, Journal
He's far back on my list, but I've been reading up a bit on the Master of the Arcane Flow, or moving magic. Seems a weird thing to specialize in. Apparently, he found a way to move magic and energy so efficiently that he could conjure a black hole and use the equivalent of moving a finger (well, OK, you know)! Not only that, but he's never even had any magic of his own. He was a dragon! Interesting...that means though that he could still be alive. I don't know if he's given into his hoarding instinct either. I'll have to be careful around him..."
