Watched the premier rerun on NatGeo last night and while it does look to be an interesting show I found a couple of things to question about it.
First off, it -was- a bit predictable. That extra-large backpack, of -course- it was the forbidden third child! But when he shrugged it off and put it on his wife I couldn't help but think that must be one lightweight 5 year old kid!
Then the dinosaurs 'slashers'. One took out an amored bad guy with one blow but afterwards a whole pack couldn't do much more than wound three unprotected teens. (I guess they dulled their knife-tails by tearing up the armored car?)
And if shooting the canrivores doesn't really faze them why not upgrade a little? How about a flippin' cannon? Or harpoon?
And if that guy who tried to shoot the leader (Carter?) looked so danged suspicious the good guy Shannon immediately followed him, why not go back and check out the person Carter was seen talking to and perhaps getting the weapon from?? A lil police slip up there. Agent Hotch wouldn't have let that go by!
Then if I was a part of a colony in a jungle with no roads and such I think I'd put permanent tracking devices on each vehicle so when one gets separated it still could be tracked and found. After all how could you give directions if stuck? "Go down two miles in the plains and turn left at the big rock with the red stains on it'? No satellites GSP, peoples!
But anyway, it looks interesting so I'll quit picking it apart:)
