Born to a blacksmith and a mail-mare, misty grew up in a very simple but loving environment. At the age of 10, he became an apprentice to his father, albeit unsuccessfully. One day he had an accident whilst forging Armour for the royal guards and ended up causing serious injury to himself. Although the only marks remaining from that time is a black stripe across his forehead and a burn-mark on his hooves, it took him a very long time to recover fully and at the beginning it looked as if he wouldn't survive. When he became well enough, he swore that whatever it took he would make sure they never had to go through pain and suffering again. He even took up both of his parents' jobs to pay for his lifestyle and to give his parents a luxurious retirement.
Currently holding a blacksmith's in Appleoosa but he used to travel all over Equestria and beyond to sell his wares, he has met all kinds of interesting people of different races. He will tolerate anyone as long as they do not violate one of two rules
1. they must not cause anyone innocent physical harm, as that would cause suffering which Misty can't stand to witness
2. they must not insult his family. the one time he can't control himself is if someone talks bad about his family
Recently, he and his ex-marefriend Toola-Roola stumbled upon Shadow Stardust attempting to sneak back to her house in the Everfree Forest, and decided to follow her. After discovering her depressing past he decided to protect Shadow. He begged Shadow to leave her incarceration in Everfree Tower but she completely refused, but as he had decided to protect her. he also moved into Everfree Tower. Now Shadow and Mist live as room-mates and Mist makes frequent trips out to Ponyville to visit his marefriend or just to take in the peaceful surroundings of the town

As a young colt, Msa'firi lived in Appleloosa with his parents. His parents taught him astronomy and astrology. One evening, he met a young Pegasus called Misty Mane. They quickly became good friends and spent all their time together. Due to hanging around with blacksmiths frequently, he grew to become a very strong pony. Unfortunately, at around the age of 8 his parents passed away due to an unknown illness. He was adopted by Misty's family and lived there until he was a stallion. When he was finally old enough, he left Appleloosa to study the stars. When he finally finished his studies, he was asked to go back to Appleloosa but refused. Being understanding, his adopted parents gave him a caravan as a present and he left to research astronomy and astrology. For the last few years, he has been frequently been on the move. He is currently studying under the fortune teller, Stormy Haste, in Ponyville

It was clear from an early age that he was meant to be a guard. When he became 18 he signed up to the royal guard. He quickly rose in the ranks till he became a Sargent. He could have quickly become an officer but he wanted to be able to work on the streets instead of just order people around.
On one of his mission against a gang of zebras, he met an informant named Lican. They quickly developed a relationship and married two years later. Recently she became pregnant, and Carrot knew that as a father, working as a street officer in Canterlot was too dangerous. He finally took his much-earned promotion and moved to Pony-ville as a Lieutenant to settle down and start a family.

He was born to a family of snake-charmers. His father, Salazar, had such a connection with snakes, it was said that he could tame the most wild snake by a single glance into it's eyes. As such, the moment he was born, he was ushered into his family's ancient tradition. It was clear that he wasn't exactly gifted at his pre-destined profession. In fact, if his parents weren't around, he would probably have died of poison within his first few days.
At around the age of 8, he was out in the countryside, and fell into a den of snakes. Any normal pony would have been bitten to death, but for some reason they treated him like one of their own. It was then that his cutie mark appeared, an ouroborus which symbalised the ever-lasting cycle of his love of snakes and snakes' love of him. After that, he became a snake-trainer, allowing any snakes he came in contact with to become domesticated enough to be kept as pets. Despite how well he domesticates them, he only keeps one as a permanent pet, A dark black viper called Draco.
Before his cutie mark appeared, he might have been considered odd by the standard of most other kids his age, but when he finally got it he became flat-out rejected. Everypony believed that he was evil and that he would cause snakes to attack him. Prolonged exposure to this kind of rough treatment caused him to detest being in large crowds, preferring to either be alone or with a very small group of friends.

During the years of discord's rule of chaos, he was the leader of the cult of discord, devoted to the spreading of discord's lessons about chaos and insanity. The only time he seemed truly happy was when complete chaos was surrounding him. When their idol was turned to stone, the actions of the cult only intensified. Of course, the remainders were no match for the alicorn princesses and were defeated within days of their master's imprisonment. The only one who remained was the head of the cult, Loki himself.
Devestated at the loss of his fellow cultists and realising that there was no way he would be able to free his idol, he ran. Narrowly escaped the princesses' clutches, Loki searched high and low for a sufficiently powerful magic expert. He was put into an eternal sleep in one of the crypts in Stalliongrad, where no one would be able to find him. Thus he passed agelessly through history until the time when discord would finally awaken once again.
The moment Discord escaped his prison, Loki woke up from his slumber and was eager to return to his idol's side. Unfortunately, by the time he managed to find discord, he was already surrounded by the elements of harmony. Before he could react, he was imprisoned again.
Unfortunately, he no longer knew anyone who'd be able to cast the spell again and has since been employing chaos upon innocent ponies in lieu of his master. despite the fact that he can't do it to more than 3 ponies at one time, due to power restraints, accounts of his actions reaching the royal guards. When these actions came to light, they checked through the criminal records to see if there was anyone who fit the profile. Of course, seeing as he'd been in slumber for the past 1000 years, he wasn't on any criminal records. Still, something reminded the princesses of Loki's reign of terror and they researched the ancient archives. In the darkest corner of the archives, they found his criminal record and realised who was blighting their country. As such, they sent guards out to find him. This, of course, overjoyed Loki as it gave him extra opportunity to disrupt the established order

Ember's mother became ill at a very early time in his life. As such, a doctor came to see her almost every day, which meant that not only did he grow up around illness but he was influenced by doctors for most of his early life. When he became a student he was forced to leave his sick mother in pony-ville, and swore to become a brilliant doctor so he could prevent others from having to go through the same suffering he and his mother had faced. Although considered quite attractive, he isn't very popular. This is because he is obsessed with learning more about medicine so he spends most of the day with his nose inside of a book. As his father (who left when his mother became ill) was a Pegasus, he has always felt a resentment for that race. Feels an affection for the earth ponies, as the woman who took care of his mother when the doctor wasn't around was an old earth pony from the nearby farm

When he was a kitten, he was raised in a bad family. His dad was unemployed and his mother was at work all the time to try and keep the family financially afloat. This affected his personality as he became willing to do anything to get enough money to survive. Unfortunately, he fell in with the wrong crowd and started to become corrupt and greedy. At the age of 14 he joined a bandit gang to try and earn enough money to help his struggling family. His parents didn't agree with his methods and disowned him. As such, he moved fully in with his fellow bandits. They currently operate just outside of Appleloosa, allowing them to make plenty of raids on the nearby town.

When he was a new-born foal, he was very ill and remained so for the first 7 years of his life, shaping his outlook on life because he was often bullied due to his weakness. However, despite his illness he never gave up on himself, seeking instead to train his mind and body diligently. After a few years of training, he had become one of the smartest in the Ponyville's School's history.
As his father and mother had both worked as actors before his birth, his desire was to become an actor as skilled as they were to carry on their dreams. As such, as soon as he could join a theatre, he did. From the age of 10, whenever he wasn't studying or training, he acted. By the age of 15, he'd become a famous actor, that had been requested to act from all over Equestria and beyond. Although he was an actor, nobody in his school knew it as he acted under the assumed name, Thespian. The reasons that he undertook this was two-fold.
1) he wanted to be sure that his friends were friends with him for who he was, not what he'd managed
2) It also seemed a lot more dramatic which drummed up a lot of interest and extra ticket sales
During class one day, a new pony moved to town and enrolled in the class. Her name was Lovett. The moment he saw her, Dio fell in love. Over the next 3 months, they drew closer and closer, until he finally invited her to one of his shows. This sign of trust billowed an attraction into a romance, and they're still dating to this day

When he was but an egg, he belonged to a family of dragons that were allies to Equestria. As such, he was given to Celestia's school for magically gifted unicorns. He was hatched by an extremely gifted unicorn called Wild Arcanum and he lived with her for her entire school life. They moved away to Stalliongrad so wild could become a doctor. they lived there together for around 30 years. Eventually, Melanite had to hibernate and he fell asleep. He slept for 100 years and when he woke up, Wild was dead and the entire world had changed.
For the next 60 years, he traveled all over the world, looking for his true calling, He currently lives in the mountains of Pony-ville, acting as a guardian to anyone who tries to make any mountain journeys
