(this ability comes from any magic she possesses from her father's side) Typically, it is a dark turquoise, but with willpower, she can change the color almost instantly. She keeps it short and jagged, her mane usually bunched into a ponytail.
Eye Color: bright sky blue
Cutie Mark: a black, ten pointed star
Other Scars/Markings: black 'stripes' along her entire body, but instead of being normal straight zebra stripes, May's stripes curl and twist at the ends

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: May is a fan of all things musical. Aside from singing and preforming herself, she enjoys listening to other ponies share their talents. Another thing that she loves to see is fillies trying out their own talents and finding their cutie marks. It's always fun for her to see other ponies that love the same things as her. May also has a hidden love of dance, and can be found grooving to her own music in most situations.
Dislikes: May dislikes over-crowded areas that are claustrophobic and loud. She immensely dislikes bugs, and does not enjoy the company of animals like most ponies. She also dislikes ponies that like to pick on ponies or are rude to others.
Motivation: May loves to get up in the morning knowing she gets to spread her love of music over Ponyville. Her motivation includes seeing the happiness she can bring to ponies, and seeing her parents at her performances on rare occasions. May looks forward to finally starting music lessons for fillies. Perhaps, she even looks forward to a new dance step or two.
Strengths: May has excellent stage presence and is able to connect with audiences much better than pony to pony socialization. She has a beautiful voice and is very kind and approachable. She is very good with fillies and is great at color coordination in fashion. Dancing is not one of her stronger strengths, but she still possesses the ability to get funky pretty well.
Weaknesses/Flaws: May is certainly not perfect. She is known to be slightly vain and think of herself as better than some other ponies. She can lose her temper quickly in stressful situations and is known to hog the spotlight. Humble is not a good word to describe Makiki.
Fears: May fears spiders, mostly, although she does not like all bugs. She is scared of tight spaces (otherwise claustrophobic) and is afraid of becoming deaf. Becoming deaf is what she fears the most, because it would make her music career almost impossible to pursue.
Overall Persona: Makiki is by far one of the sweetest zebras you will ever meet. She strives to be the best zebra she can be, and is always trying to keep her cool. She will, in overbearing situations, lose her temper, but will profusely apologize and make her goal to be better. Makiki is a beautiful singer and loves to play instruments and entertain ponies. Being born into the musical world, she does tend to take her place on stage and could be considered vain or a stage hog. She realizes this and tries to share her love of the stage with others. Aside from music and preforming, Makiki tends to be alone on her edge of ponyville. Being a zebra, she thinks of herself as different and therefore isn't very social. She would like to make a friend or two, but doesn't venture out to do it. Makiki is kind and gentle and loves little fillies. One of her hobbies is foal-sitting, which she loves to pieces. She aspires to do more in the world of fillies, perhaps music or singing lessons to better spend time with the younger ponies. That is one of the reasons that one day, Makiki wants foals of her own to keep her company. Makiki is not shy, by any standards, she just prefers keeping to herself.
