-General Stuff-
Name: Razzle Dazzle
Nickname/Alias(es): Dazzler: The Horse of a Different Color (Stage name)
Race: Earth Pony
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Additional Status: “Dazzler” is well known in her home town, but is only just starting to make a name for herself in the Ponyville area.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: White. Razzle prides herself on keeping her pelt and mane very clean at all times; white has a tendency to show every smidge of dirt.
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Razzle’s natural mane and tail color are a deep crimson, but it’s been years since anyone has seen it as such. Part of her act is being able to change her colors quickly, so she actually shaves her mane and tail down to barely there sizes, and bleaches them as white as her pelt. She has a wide assortment of wigs and tail extensions that she uses in both her show and in everyday life, preferring to wear long, luxurious looking cornflower blue locks as her “casual” look.
Eye Color: A pale shade of blue, very similar to her casual mane and tail.
Cutie Mark: A pair of parting red curtains, signifying her performance capabilities.
Other Scars/Markings: N/A
Physique: Very slender, and slightly tall, Razzle exercises for about two hours every day to stay in shape; her appearance is very important to her.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: As her job demands, Razzle doesn’t tend to stay in one place very long. She has a small cart loaded with her work supplies, but it’s not nearly large enough for a pony to live in. She lives in hotels and with friends while on the road, only stopping back home to Trottingham once in a great while. Her current residence is in an Inn in Ponyville.
Job: Traveling Magician
Mother: Winter Dazzle, 49, wishes her daughter would settle into a more practical lifestyle.
Father: Graymane Stonehoof, 57, Trottingham blacksmith, lovingly keeps his wife from pestering Razzle too much.

Other Family: None worth mentioning
Closest Friends: Her older brother is the only one that she keeps a steady contact with.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes:
Seeing ponies marvel at the unexpected or inexplicable, confident ponies who follow their dreams at any cost, discovering new and exciting places/people/things, impeccable grooming, sunny days (More people come to see her perform), and a healthy dose of mystery.
Dislikes:
Dirt (Do you know where that’s been?), lightning storms (Much harder to control lighting, which is often crucial for her performances), skeptics and over-thinkers (Just relax and enjoy life!), staying in one place for too long, and people who don’t know how to smile.
Motivation:
Most ponies live their entire lives never traveling more than a few miles from their hometown, and those folks are missing out on a world of beauty. Razzle desires to see as much of this world as she can, and spread a little joy and mystery along the way. And if she can make a few extra bits along the way, then let the good times roll!
Strengths:
Slight-of-hoof, public speaking (Kind of important as a performer), quick-witted, and “fitting in” (Razzle’s desire to see the world has given her a deeper appreciation for different lifestyles and regional traditions, and she often takes at least a week or two getting to know new areas before she actually begins performing there). She uses her knowledge of the town to incorporate history into her act, or to figure out who best to use as an assistant when the time comes. This also makes her great with kids, as their faces tend to light up the brightest when they see an Earth Pony doing magic. Her slight obsession over her personal appearance also gives her a slight knack for fashion and styling.
Weaknesses/Flaws:
As a performer, it’s important to not let anything bother you while putting on a show. When not in the middle of a performance, however, Razzle can get a bit edgy around negative people or anyone who tries to figure out her tricks. She has rubbed her fair share of customers the wrong way while protecting her trade secrets, and has no remorse for her actions. Her desire for cleanliness has also caused its fair share of problems, as her aversion to dirt has sometimes lead to finding ways to clean strangers*. Probably her biggest flaw, however, is directly tied to her extreme passion for travel: She can’t stomach stagnation, and takes it very personally when people don’t understand her desires. The strongest example of this manifests in her constant battles with her mother.
Fears:
Her desire for cleanliness is borderline germophobia. While she has no problems getting dirty for the sake of a performance, she needs to get herself clean immediately afterwards. She also tends to avoid forests and other such places where spiders and insects may be lurking in the shadows. On the homefront, for as strained as her relationship with her mother is, she is inversely protective of her brother, and worries about him all the time. She wants him to be happy, but she sees him going down the same path as their mother, and it terrifies her.
Overall Persona:
Those who meet Razzle and her family will find that the young mare is clearly the “black sheep”. Her parents are stoic and steadfast, while Razzle is flighty and adventurous. She loves to discover new places and new things, and will fawn over new inventions, especially ones that could be incorporated into one of her magic tricks. She enjoys her life on the road, and has never once regretted her decision to leave home, but she wishes that she could convince her elder brother to do the same. She may not see eye-to-eye with her family’s decision to stay rooted to Trottingham, and even gets into heated arguments with her mother on occasion, but she loves her family dearly, and only wants what she believes is best for them. This hatred of “stagnation” is quite apparent to anyone who has spent any decent amount of time talking with Razzle, and she has no problems sharing that feeling with anyone who disagrees with her.
Aside from philosophical differences about how to live one’s life, Razzle is usually friendly and energetic, especially around children. Razzle is most “at home” when she’s performing illusions, much to the delight of those around her. Upon arrival to a new location, she takes some time to see the sights, and gets to know the locals a bit before setting up her booth. Some magicians perform to make a living, to swindle others, or just to show off, but Razzle simply prefers to see looks of wonder on the faces of others. Just don’t try and look too hard at her tricks; she guards her secrets quite fiercely, and can even turn abrasive to those who would try and spoil the fun.
She has high personal grooming standards, which can sometimes come off as her being pretentious, especially when she has trouble hiding her distaste for those who don’t wash up after doing something dirty. It’s not a true phobia, in that she has no problems with working in the fields, or traveling down dirt roads, but once the dirty work is done, ponies should care enough about their hygiene to make themselves presentable to others.
History/Background:
Born to a pair of down-to-earth ponies in Trottingham, Razzle spent most of her childhood bored out of her skull. Her father was a blacksmith (and he wouldn’t let Razzle help for years because it was too dangerous), and her mother was a housewife (so she just did boring jobs like cooking and cleaning). There weren’t really any other fillies her age around, so she spent a lot of time playing with her older brother. As they grew older, Flint took a greater and greater interest in his father’s business, while Razzle became more and more restless. She never caused any real trouble, but would often wander into town alone to just go exploring. She often found herself hanging out at the local library, engrossing herself with tales of daring ponies going on adventures to exotic places. From an early age, she had convinced herself that she wanted to leave Trottingham, and be like the ponies from her stories.
Her love for magic actually stemmed from a birthday present from her brother. As he started spending more time training to be a blacksmith, he felt bad that he had less time to spend with Razzle, so he bought her a book of magic tricks to give her a hobby to occupy herself with. She took to it immediately, and could never wait to show her brother the progress she was making.
> While her parents have spent their entire lives in Trottingham, Razzle left home about four years ago to pursue her dreams.
*One time, in the middle of a show, she drenched a young foal in the audience when her dunk tank “malfunctioned” (To be fair, he really needed a bath…)
