The Cloudsdale Weather Factory was an impressive structure if you really took the time to wander through it. Most ponies only ever saw the more dramatic bits and pieces, the rainbow factory, the storm center, etc. But they had areas devoted to mists, humidity, snowflakes, even a veteran drizzle-master. They had cloud kickers, shapers, herders, even nudgers, squeezers and fluffers. Every branch had sub-branches, every section had sub-sections. One of those particular sub-sections belonged to the storm center. The wind mill was a large structure filled with what resembled pony-sized hamster wheels that were attached to massive fan blades outside that made the various breezes, torrents, and gusts that roamed across Equestria. And it was in this mill that one particularly grumpy and quite large pegasus was looking at a letter that had been slipped under her door.
"Training Duty," she muttered. Of course the training wasn't for her, no, that would've been silly. But they constantly had new weatherpony recruits coming in that needed to be taught how to work everything. She sighed, tossing the letter in a bin and proceeding through the levels of the building and towards the trainee bay. At least they were typically younger, eager pegasi. Those she could deal with a bit more easily.
The trainee bay was fairly large and had a number of fresh-faced young pegasi standing around anxiously, some of them chatting to one another, others still wondering what their assignments would be. Galvanic peered into the crowd as she trotted up to the front of the group and spread her large wings. Not overly loud, but extremely effective at attracting attention. "Weatherlight? Get your feathers up here, you're training with me today."
