"Ahhh the wonders of the circus, how I knew thee well. I never had aspirations of my own to join the circus, but I used to watch with awe as their acrobats and clowns entertaining thousands. I vowed to be a one pony circus! A true mast-"
"Quip you don't have time for the dramatic introduction to your day, the circus is starting later in the day, but try and remember that you actually have to get there" Mad Cap sighed as she walked into the dimly lit room, with Quip looking out of the window dramatically.
Quip turned to face his assistant with a giggle, before walking over to the patchwork saddle bag that was laid out on his bed, packing some things into it absent mindedly as he turned his head to talk to Mad Cap.
"Are you sure you don't want to come Mad Cap? It's gonna be fun, I hear this is one of the best circuses around" Quip had wondered why she didn't want to come when he had announced that he wanted to visit the circus when it came to town.
"I'm sure, I'm going to take some time off today, I might head to the spa, or go and visit that wax girl you told me about, she sounds nice" Mad Cap smiled, walking out of the room with a chuckle.
Quip was left going through his bag, making sure he had his traveling supplies, which usually consisted of a few clowning supplies, a camera, some snacks and for some reason a framed picture of a beach ball, he never explained that one. Slinging the strap over his back, resting the weight of his saddle bag on his back before happily trotting out of his room. Trotting down the stairs and heading over to the front door, grabbing his favourite hat from the hat rack beside the door and headed out. Upon heading out of the door, he was beset by around 3 little ponies who seemed to want his autograph, happily giving it to them, Quip set off properly.
The circus in question was a bit to big to take place within Ponyville, so it was set up just outside Ponyville, on its outskirts. It seemed it was early in the day yet, so not many ponies were heading out yet, as such Quip was mostly on his own as he hit that ol' dirt trail as he liked to say. He could see just in the distance the tell tale sign of a big top, and other circus tents. That sight was always a great sight for fun loving eyes, and filled children's hearts with joy no matter what. As Quip arrived at the clearing where the circus was set up, he looked around for a moment, seemed no pony was around, or at least those that were, were too busy setting the place up, or practicing their routines. Quip began wandering around the place, looking around as the sun's shine reflected off his mask, he wondered who he might meet.
