Sarina's welcome party


Everypony is invited to my party, celebrating I finally decided to show myself to all Equestria!


If you want to come, you'll have to go to Ponyville Residential and knock the blue door of the yellow house with purple roof. There should be a paper attached at the door saying:
"Sarina's party"


The only things needed to enter is to be happy, have fun and DON'T touch my books without my permission. Got it?

Okay, I think this will be enough.- I attached some papers like this all over ponyville's town square, marketplace, and around my house, so I think a lot of ponies will see it. -Wait... That may lead a horde of unknown ponies to my house!- I panicked for a moment, but I reminded myself I had to make some friends for I own good. So I tried to relax a bit and continue the preparations for my welcoming party. -Let me think... 

Invitacions... Done
Food... Done
Lock my room's door to protect my books... Done
Party decorations... Done
Chairs ready... Done
Drinks... Done
DJ Music... Done
Hide valuable things... Done
Indication paper attached to my door... Done
Ballons... Done
Confeti... Done
Homemade cake... Done

All is ready!- Everything is in order, following the advices of the book: "At home entertaning: the Art of Hosting a Party" I was a newbie at being the party boss so I had to follow like rules the steps of the book. "Moving into a new home ranks among the more exciting events in life. It's definitely time to break out the bubbly and celebrate. It can also be stressful if you're moving away from friends and family. In either case, holding a housewarming party is a good way to welcome new friends to your home." And I thinked:
Why not?- Also, this will make a perfect chance to make new friends, as the book has it written: "In the case where the move is to a distant location, a housewarming can be used as a way to meet the new community." According to the invitacions, it will be at night, and soon, Princess Luna will rise the moon, indicating the start of today's night: The moment to start the party. I'm so nervous!

I really wonder who will come to my party!

Okay, relax... If you feel nervous, the people who talk to you gets unconfortable and the only thinking of a bad start here, in Ponyville, makes me sad. So I'm gonna focus on being happy, smile, and have a good time being the host of my housewarming party.

Now I just have to wait to the other ponies to show up. I wonder if I have a book for it...

Honey Dust went back into her house and put down her bag and shut the front door. Again.
She'd be deciding whether or not to go to this party all day. On one hand, she wanted to help new people make friends and maybe make some of her own. On the other hand, she didn't go out very often and was a little shy. She'd been working in the field all day and was worried about not looking respectable enough.
She glanced down at the beautifully written letter again, re-reading the instructions.

Oh Dusty, what are you worried about? You can always leave if things get unpleasant.

For the last time, the honey and chestnut pegasus stepped out of the door, taking the invitation in her mouth. Let's go and make some friends! She stamped her hoof firmly on the ground to emphasise her point to herself.

Glancing around at all the houses, Honey Dust began to panic. What did the invite say?  Yellow door and blue roof? No, blue house and purple door. No wait, that's not right either... Ugh!
Just as Honey Dust was about to turn round and go back, she spotted a little house with balloons outside. As she approached it, she noticed the sign on the blue door "Sarina's Party"
Oh, She thought stupidly. Slowly she approached the door, glancing embarrassedly at the purple roof. Finally she reached the door and knocked gently. Knowing my luck there will be no one home.

And she waited...

Oh, they are finally here!- My boring waiting was worth and all the work done for this moment was about to bear fruits. Ok... Keep calm, approach to the door and open it. And remember to smile. Finally, I opened the door widely and let the guests enter, but...

Only one?... I looked right and left and there was nopony else in the street. I was expecting more pony to come... But maybe the show up later. Now welcome to your house your first guest...

Are you here for entering the party?- I asked nicely with a normal smile ,but without waiting for the reply i said: - If that's the case, welcome to the party!- I stepped aside and let her go in, if she goes in... I was glad that somepony came to my housewarming party. I seem happy, but I'm truly nervous. I'm always nervous if somepony I don't know is around. And even more if its a special ocasion.

Come on... Relax already, Sarina! You want to make new friends? Then give it your all for it!
Remember: Smile happily and have a good time.

Honey Dust was smiling amiably as the light blue mare opened the door. The mare was speaking too fast for Honey to answer but she caught that she had been invited in. She stepped carefully into the house looking round for the "party."
She stopped, surprised. There were no other guests. She couldn't see a single pony. The room was beautifully decorated with balloons and confetti and chairs laid out. Honey could also smell cake somewhere, she was sure of it. But there were definitely no other ponies. Looking round to face the pony that has let her in, Honey panicked suddenly, wondering if this was another of those hyperactive ponies that she didn't get along with, but looking over the mare and noticing her cutie mark, Honey guessed she was an clever young pony, probably just holding a casual party. She looked back to her face.
"So... Sarina, right?" Honey Dust held out a feathered hoof. "I'm Honey Dust."
She smiled warmly at the pony, hoping that this was going to be a good party and not embarrass the young newcomer.

-Oh, sorry, there's nopony else yet. I think they will show up sooner or later. I think...-But I wasn't totally sure. I mean, there isn't a full porcentage that more ponies come here... But I prefer to not to think about it. I have a guest! Focus on her!


For some reason, I always look first to the cutie mark. Which I guess she likes honey. I'm not a fan of honey but I like it... If I don't have to get it myself with the b-b-bees... I hate all kinds of bugs, but especially the flying ones! They just keep chasing me to do... s-something I wouldn't like... They're...! Ewww...!


Well, what was I doing? Ah, yes! Honey Dust! I think I have isolated myself for a moment. It only happens when I'm alone or I think in b-b-bugs...


She looks strong and a hard-worker, and looks cool also, even if I don't understand much about style or fashion. And the ribbon it's the icing in the cake, I like it. 


Sudenly, I realized I didn't have introduced myself yet. Gentlely, I hooveshaked her hoove. -Where are my manners? I'm Sarina Erudite, Bookreader and new in town. I'm really sorry, Honey Dust. I'm so nervous that I confuse myself. Hope you can forgive me.- I smiled shyly. I shouldn't be nervous, but still... This is all new to me... I just hope I don't do anything shameful...

[In The Blue]

Sunny Day trotted towards the yellow house. She knocked a couple time then stood back her tail flicking from side to side happily. Parties were one of her favorite things and she was gonnna make sure it's host had just as much fun as she always had. "Sarina? It's me Sunny." She knocked a few more times then stood back waiting for the door to swing open.

Why do I feel so nervous? It doesn't sound like there is many ponies in there and is it a big deal? Sunny Day was unsure why she was so nervous. She had never met Sarina before but most ponies like her and she figured that wouldn't matter. The young filly began to get nervous like she did sometimes. "It will be all right. Stop worrying Sunny it doesn't seem to be that full in there and well I shouldn't be nervous it's just a party. Just a party." Sunny repeated 'Just a party' a few times then sighed. It would turn out alright.

When I closed the door using my magic, just seconds ago, the door was knocked again. I think I even hear something more... 

-Sorry Honey Dust, I think someone else is going to enter. Wait just some seconds, please.- Even if it almost surprised me, I managed to remain calm of myself. It seems that there's a new guest!

Using my magic again, I opened the door widely. This time, a little unicorn filly was standing in front of my house. -Oh! Come in, little unicorn!- I stepped aside happily. Another guest! For now, this party is starting to recieve ponies. I wonder how many more will come? Oh! I think she told me her name when she was knocking the door, but I didn't hear it clearly. I should ask.

-Did you told me your name? I wasn't able to hear it clearly. If you don't mind, could you tell me your name again, please?- I asked nicely. I'm a good reader but maybe I'm not used to background sounds. It may be because when I read, I choose a peaceful and silent place. Well, that's normal, right?

[In The Blue]

"My name is Sunny Day but you can call be Sunny if you like." Sunny said smiling. She was glad Sarina was nice. "Is this an open party?  Should I come in or leave?" Sunny Day didn't want to be rude so she thought she should ask that.

See? Everything turned out just fine and there is only one pony besides the host. She looked at the chestnut pony in the room and smiled. "Only one pony? We need to cook up this party!" Sunny was brainstorming good ways to make the party better with so little ponies. Well from the book Parties 101 it says not many ponies are needed to play pin the tail on the pony. She recalled the book she had read a few weeks ago on parties.

Sunny Day? Ok, good. The more the merrier, if it doesn't end in an aglomeration...

-Of course you can enter. Welcome to my housewarming party!- I answered nicely.

Looks like things are going pretty well...I expect it will keep up like this. 

-Sunny, she's Honey Dust. I hope we get along well...- I said kindly with a smile. In a party, the host should introduce the new guest to the others, and that's what I think I have done.

But, I think something is missing here... Let me think...

[In The Blue]

"Thank you Sarina. I am sure this will be a great party." Sunny wasn't sure about that as right now nopony was coming and it was rather dull. Perhaps I am just early and more ponies are coming. She looked up at the clock. It was just a little past six o'clock. Well I am not early. I guess not many ponies know Sarina. Sunny Day tried to convince herself it would be alright but it didn't work.

She trotted in and smiled at Honey Dust. "Hello. Here for the party?" Sunny asked.

Minute past and she had settled herself on the couch. The party was dull at the moment and Sunny sighed. "Perhaps we should play some games? Umm what do you think Sarina?" Sunny brainstormed ideas again. Musical chairs, pin the tail on the pony, bobbing for apples.

Honey Dust watched this exchange between the two ponies, smiling politely when Sarina introduced her. Her eyes panned slowly over the mare, taking a good look at her. She noticed on her orange pelt her cutie mark a golden sun and wondered what that might represent...
Suddenly pulling herself back to reality, she noticed that Sunny had asked her a question. "Party? Oh, right. Yes. I got Sarina's invite and decided to come along. I like meeting new ponies."
Honey watched as Sunny plonked herself on the couch. Honey was enjoying the polite company of Sarina and had just been about to start a conversation with her when she heard Sarina's voice asking about party games.
Although Honey Dust liked party games she was vaguely worried that Sunny might be one of these party animals that she didn't get along with...
"I'm sure Sarina will have something planned, eh?" Honey Dust suggested smiling at the blue mare. "She seems a well-organised pony. I like that..." She looked thoughtfully at Sarina, waiting for a reply.

(Should we decide on an order for this? It seems quite random just now)

Hearing Honey's words, I sudenly remembered it. That's what I was forgeting! The schedule!

Well, according to my improvised schedule in my mind, I should follow Sunny's idea for some time and later, it will be time for eat. After that, I don't have anything more to follow, but I will worry when it's the time. Now...

-Well, I think it's time for some party games but, which game should we play? I'm open to new ideas.- I know myself. If I had to decide wich game should we play, I would be to unsure to choose. 

And honestly, I don't mind wich game we play. So, why not let them choose?

(Great idea! How about Sunny, Honey and Sarina and repeat?)

(Sure the Sunny, Honey, Sarina is good and Sunny is a filly)

"Yes meeting new ponies is fun." Sunny thought for a moment. "Do you guys like musical chairs?" She suggested. Sunny Day hoped these ponies wouldn't fuss over her as some mares did. The unicorn filly waited for their response.

This is going well. Maybe it will be better when we start playing games. I hope more ponies come. It's kinda strange with so little ponies and it's so quite.

Sunny Day's belly rumbled and she realized how hungry she was. Maybe some punch will hold me over. "Sarina do you have any punch?" She waited for her to respond her brain thinking wildly. I hope this party gets more interesting. Perhaps more ponies would do the trick. But maybe this isn't meant to have a lot of ponies. Oh I just don't understand! Sunny sat quietly for a while waiting for somepony to speak up. She examined the room getting to know what the house looked like a little better.

"Games are good, yeah!" Honey Dust agreed. Looking at Sarina she could see this was a pony like herself: one who struggles to make decisions. She turned instead, to Sunny Day and nodded enthusiastically when she suggested musical chairs.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun!" She glanced round "It looks like Sarina already has chairs set up and everything! How organised!"
Pushing her glasses up her nose, she trotted over to the chairs and called to Sarina "I'll help you move them, if you like?" Then realised that Sarina was paying attention to Sunny who had asked about drinks. "Never mind, you get that, I'll move these."
Honey started to budge the chairs into place, secretly hoping Sarina pours some juice for her too.

-Oh! The punch is prepared in the glasses over the wide table with the rest of the food. I'll get them for all of us. If we start playing with the stomach empty, we'll get tired soon. But only the punches, because playing stuffed of food is also not recommended...- I said while going for the drinks. You know, another good thing about books is that they teach you things in a better way than the bad experiences. And I'm glad about that... But, other times, you wish you never knew. I mean, how many eyes have a m-m-mosquito? A lot! And that's disgusting! Ewwww...

With my magic, I catched three glasses of punch, sending one to each pony, slowly.

-It's sweet with a little taste of strawberry. I hope you like it!- I said smiling.

Now that I think about it, magic really makes live easier. Yes, I know it takes concentration and effort, but still makes live easier...in my opinion.
