Winter was a magical time; a time where ponies would walk close with those who were special to them, a time to cuddle around the fire, to play in the snow, eat sugary treats, and a time for the land to rest. It was a time of family, of play, and of rest all at once. It turned the land into a beautiful canvas of white and blue, and had its own melody to it. And to a carefree pony, it was the best time of the year.
Amethyst Glow was obviously one such pony, as she clearly exhibited as she ran around with the young fillies in the park, chasing them around and getting chased in turn. She spent plenty of afternoons in the park when she wasn't on tour with her brother; she found the beauty to be an inspiration. Of course, every season was an inspiration to her in one way, shape, form or another. The black mare ran about with the fillies gleefully, in her own childish fashion, until finally she decided to call it a day and take a load off for a little while.
She plopped down in the snow at the base of a tree contently, and proceeded to instantly start bobbing her head to an inaudible song. The action released loose snow from the black tuque that she wore in place of her usual black cap, which then dropped onto her pelt. She yelped and jumped back, laughing joyfully as she wiped the cold, wet snow from her fur. It was such simple joys that brought her such happiness in life. She learned her lesson as she sat back down in the same spot, and instead chose to hum the song that she was composing in her head.
Her usual grin was practically plastered to her face as she looked out over the frozen park with the wide-eyed gaze of a filly. It didn't matter that she had seen all the joys of winter before, it was always a new experience for her. Every day was a new adventure, and as long as she drew breath, then nothing would stop her from being amazed at everything life had to offer. It just so happened that she especially loved winter.
