A Missing Dog (OPEN)

[Lavender Song]

It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. The sun beamed its glowing light yet there were several fluffy white clouds and a light breeze stopping the heat from becoming annoying. Many ponies gathered around the park to enjoy the perfect weather. Several chatted among themselves, others read a book or the newspaper peacefully, some captured the beautiful landscape with their artistic talents and some even decided to bring their pets out to have some time in the sun.

Lavender Song trotted through the park, her family's dog Fluffy's lead attached to her right hoof. Fluffy bounced up and down as they traversed the park, his tail wagging with excitement. Lavender Song laughed at her dog's excitable actions while humming to herself. Soon enough her hum had grown to a full performance, despite the song being the opposite of complicated. As she sang, she spun around, forgetting the fact that Fluffy's leash was tied to her hoof. She tripped over the leash and fell on the ground, the leash snapped and Fluffy ran loose.

"Huh... Fluffy? Fluffy! Come back here!" Lavender Song yelled as she pulled herself up.

Fluffy ran across the park, running into several ponies, destroying plants and accidentally scaring other ponies' pets. Lavender Song followed behind, trying to avoid the ponies, destroyed plants and traumatised pets that Fluffy didn't.
Lavender Song stopped to take a breath, she was panting heavily and by the time she looked up, Fluffy had disappeared.

"You've got to be kidding me!" She yelled in frustration.

It was a beautiful day in Ponyville, the sun was shining and many ponies had gone to the park to relish in this beautiful weather. Some were talking, some others were reading, and a few were walking their pets. It was definitely flying weather, or, that's what a certain boastful pegasus named Thunder Strike thought. She smirked as she flew towards the park, going faster as each second passed. She couldn't wait to get there, it was perfect weather for performing after all. Plus, there was bound to be a bunch of ponies there, that would soon be clapping and cheering for her, or, that's what Thunder visualized. She stopped suddenly, her wings still flapping which kept her in the air. She looked and saw she was in the park. She thought of the amazing tricks she could do and picked one. She started to do one when she heard a pony yell from the ground. She stopped and looked down, slightly agitated that some pony interrupted her trick and broke her focus. 

Thunder looked around, not seeing the source of the yell. She shrugged and went back to doing the trick. Once again,a yell rang out. She glared at the ground, intently searched through the crowds of ponies trying to find the culprit who interrupted her two times in a row. She didn't find them, however she did see a runaway dog running through the park. It was obvious this dog had broke free of it's leash. She immediately thought of the best plan ever, or once again, that's what she thought. She would catch that dog and be a hero, true it wasn't the greatest heroic act but it was one of them. She flew after the dog, soon cornering it and picking it up by it's collar. She looked around for the owner and saw a mare earth pony holding a snapped leash. She immediately recognized her as the owner and walked up to her, the dog still hanging by its collar, which she carried in her hooves. "Hey lady, is this your dog?" She asked holding up the dog, she wasn't the nicest pony, or the most respectful one either.

Lavender, unlike the rest of the happy ponies, disappointedly stared at the ground. She knew that she should continue to look for Fluffy but she was so exhausted that it would also useless to even attempt to. She started to trot around in a circle, wondering what she should do about her missing dog. Her thoughts were interrupted when she spotted a pegasus heading towards her. After that, she quickly noticed that she was carrying Fluffy and the rest of his lead. Lavender stared in shock at the pegasus before being brought back to reality by the pegasus' voice.

"Huh! Oh! Yep! That's mine! He kind of got away while I was taking him for a walk, I mean, the weather's so lovely today he probably got a bit too excited. Thanks by the way!" Lavender said to the pegasus before realising she didn't know her name. "I'm Lavender Song, you can just call Lavender for short, or Lav, Ender, Der, La, Av, anything really. What's your name?"

Thunder listened as the earth pony replied to her saying that, that was her dog, she seemed relieved and very thankful. She continued to listen as she said her name and asked for hers. "Thunder Strike, though, who am I kidding, you've probably heard of me, I am like the best flier there will ever be." She replied smirking at the earth pony. This pony must have heard of her, otherwise, this pony must have been living under a rock, or, well, that's what Thunder thought. Heh, this earth pony seems very grateful, probably because of all ponies, me, Thunder Strike, the best flier ever, rescued her dog from running away. She thought to herself while waiting for the earth pony's reply. Wait, she said her name was Lavender Song, huh, its an ok name, but, not as great of a name as Thunder Strike, She thought to herself again. 

Thunder glanced around, noticing no pony else noticed her great accomplishment. What gives?! I just gave a pony back their dog and nothing?! Ugh this was such a waste of time. I could've been perfecting my tricks! Heh, I amuse myself sometimes, I have perfected all my tricks! I also added to them! Soon everypony will want to learn my tricks. Though they may get good at them, no pony will be as perfect at them than me. After all, I am the one who created them. I bet even those losers the Wonderbolts will want to learn my tricks, probably because they'll get more attention at their stupid shows. Heh, I'm ever better than them, by a mile. I'm better than that stupid blue pegasus who every pony thinks is soo great. She continued to think to herself. 

[Lavender Song]

Lavender listened to Thunder's reply, suddenly recognising the pegasus.
"Oh! You're the pegasus I see doing a bunch of tricks and stunts in the air all the time! You're pretty good." Lavender replied, picking Fluffy up and starting to cradle him in one hoof.

Lavender noticed Thunder's glances, she followed them and only saw ponies in the far distance. "Wonder what she's looking at?" Lavender thought to herself, "It's just a bunch of nothing..."

Lavender went to put her hoof to her chin, forgetting her other hoof was holding Fluffy. She fell face first onto the ground. Fluffy tried to get loose but she quickly put her hoof down on the tiny bit of leash left, stopping him from running away.
"Whoops..." She said while laughing awkwardly.

Thunder looked at the earth pony in disbelief. "The pony that does tricks and stunts"!? THAT'S IT!? She thought to herself. She was so much more than "the pony that does tricks and stunts". She was Thunder Strike, the best flier ever, or The Amazing Thunder Strike, the name hadn't been worked out yet. Then again, this was just an earth pony, they didn't know anything except farming and making food,or,well, that's what Thunder believed. She rolled her eyes at this earth pony  Lavender Song, this earth pony clearly knows nothing. Especially stuff about flying and famous ponies. After all, Thunder was the most famous pony to ever live, or, well, that's what she thought.  

Thunder snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the earth pony. "Uh, "pretty good"!? I'm the best there ever was and will be! How can you not have heard of me except as "the pony who does tricks and stunts"!? Then again, you are just some lousy dirt earth pony, all you know is farming and making food, BUT STILL! I'm better than the Wonderbolts, I'm better than those lousy six ponies who think their heroes. For Celestia's sake I'm better than ALL 5 PRINCESSES!" She yelled at the earth pony. Yes, 5, she even included that stupid foal who was an alicorn. She looked at the earth pony, waiting for a reaction. She sightly regretting loosing her cool, it might damage her reputation, which she did not want. She only regretted it slightly though, that earth pony deserved it, or, well, that's what Thunder thought.

Lavender pulled herself off the ground, keeping her hoof on what remains of Fluffy's leash. After hearing what Thunder Strike said, she started laughing so hard that she fell on the ground once again. "Wow! Somepony needs to calm themselves down! I was just complimenting ya and now your acting like I just said you're the worst flier in all of Equestria!" Lavender said before laughing once again.

Lavender started to push herself off the ground one more time, still laughing. "And you think I only know about farming and making food. Well, I don't know if you've noticed..." Lavender turned revealing her cutie mark, a piece of paper with a music note on top of it. "But I also know a thing or two about music. Oh, can't forget that fact that I'm quarter pegasus and that about a third of my cousins are pegasi, which is a lot since I have twenty cousins, and since my mom and dad love to watch sports of any kind, I've been dragged to so many flying competitions that I've probably been to more than the average pegasus. So, I do know a lot more than just farming and making food." Lavender said, grinning.

Thunder Strike had to admit, this earth pony had some guts, thinking she could just talk to her like that. She liked that she had a lot of courage..NOT! This earth pony clearly doesn't know who she's messing with, if she did she wouldn't be on the ground laughing at her. Thunder fumed at this earth pony, never in her life she had been this insulted. They had only met for a few minutes and Thunder already hated this earth pony more than any other pony she'd ever met.

This earth pony also would never seem to shut up, because, while she was thinking this, Lavender was too busy ranting about her family. She didn't care one bit about this pony's family and what her cutie mark was. Though, Lavender didn't seem to notice because she was still talking. This seemed to be the chattiest earth pony she'd ever met, well, Thunder still hadn't said anything back yet. She was too busy thinking of things to say back to this pony, most of them were mean and cruel, and would probably ruin her own reputation. So she put those thoughts aside and tried to focus on some new ones. Thunder finally came out of her own thoughts and looked this earth pony down. She regretted getting that stupid dog, she should have just let the dog run free. Plus, no pony noticed it, so it was a huge waste of time for her. She finally sighed and started to walk away, saying nothing to Lavender.

After Lavender Song finished talking, she realised that Thunder Strike was walking away and quickly ran after her. "Woah, am I really that annoying? Sorry 'bout that. To be honest, now that I think about it, I've actually seen you at a couple of the flying competitions I've been to. I'm not the greatest at rating stuff but I found you to be one of the better ones." Lavender said, walking alongside Thunder.

Lavender picked up her pace and turned to face Thunder head on. "I'm really sorry 'bout dragging on and laughing and stuff." She said, "It's kind of a force of habit of mine, I do love boasting about my family. Oh, I should say that I'm really thankful that you saving my Fluffy. So, uh, thanks, a lot."

Thunder Strike grumbled as she stormed off, this earth pony was probably the most annoying pony ever. She hated, no, she despised this pony more than any pony she had met. Now, you're probably thinking that Thunder was overreacting, and maybe she was. However, she had already been having a bad day. This morning she had been yelled at by her boss and blamed for something she didn't do. Then, she ran into a group of fillies and colts, and she hates fillies and colts, but, she has her reasons. Then when she finally thought her bad luck was over, she met this mare. So,yea, she has a right to be mad. Plus, earth ponies are her least favorite type of pony, she thinks that all they are good for is farming and baking. They can't fly or do magic, so, they're pretty much useless, or, well, that's what Thunder thinks.

Thunder snapped out of her thoughts on realizing that Lavender Song was walking alongside. Ugh, doesn't this pony know when to leave another pony alone?! She thought to herself while glaring at Lavender. She watched as the earth pony started to walk faster and then turned to face her. She stopped and continued to glare at the earth pony. "Like I said, it was nothing. So just do yourself a favor and leave me alone." She snapped harshly at the earth pony. This earth pony doesn't know when to quit does she. She thought to herself before walking around Lavender Song and started to fly away.  

[Lavender Song]

Lavender Song stared in shock as she saw Thunder Strike start to fly away. She bit her tongue and said to herself. "Why do I have to be annoying..." She put her head down as she started to head back home, carrying Fluffy in her right hoof. Fluffy looked at Lavender's disappointed face and then looked at Thunder Strike. He put two and two together and started to bark at Thunder loudly, drawing the attention of several other ponies.

"Woah boy, calm down. No need to be loud. Calm down." Lavender said in an attempt to calm him down. Fluffy continued to bark, trying to wiggle his way out of Lavender's hold. Soon Fluffy broke free of Lavender's grasp and ran after Thunder Strike, still barking loudly. "Fluffy! Get back here!" Lavender exclaimed, running after him.

OOC: Ok, I don't mean to be rude, but, before this continues I think we should have a posting order now that there's three of us, it should be the order people joined, which would be Lavender, me, then Sophia, so, could Thunder Strike notice that Lavender's dog is chasing her before Knick Knack comes in? Sorry if this seems rude, I don't mean it like that.

OOC: I agree. We both don't mean to rude but maybe it would make the most sense if it went that way. It also makes the most logical sense that Thunder Strike would notice Fluffy and react before Knick Knack would even be able to react.

OOC: No no, that's totally fine you guys - so shall we just say that my post happens (chronologically) after the next one from Thunder's POV? Or would you like me to delete and repost? From there we'll stick to the order that Lav proposed ^_^
