Quip: She absolutely adores Quip Crack and his antics, she cannot help but laugh at his jokes and performances and honestly finds more enjoyment every time he performs. The two are insperable and really the best of friends.
Performing: Her work with Quip has given Mad Cap a true appreciation for what she does and she truly loves performing and helping Quip perform. When she started working with Quip she had no performing talent and was quite nervous in front of crowds. Now she has learned so much and often has her own acts within Quip's shows and is making a name for herself in the performing world.
Costumes: Mad Cap has acquired a taste for colorful and extravagant costumes since her work began with Quip. It's one of the few things that she allows herself to spoil on, she loves finding a bright and colorful costume that she could use in the show.
Shopping: Mad Cap has always enjoyed shopping and buying new things, however she never used to have the money to really be able to afford many things yet she still continually bought items. These days she gets a very respectable wage from Quip but chooses to not spend much on herself, the reason being that she doesn't want for much. She's happy just seeing where she ends up and maybe getting something if she likes it. But when she does find something it is one of her favorite things.
Dislikes:
Dwelling on the Past: Mad Cap considers her life before meeting Quip irrelevant, her life is working with and traveling with Quip now and nothing before that compares. This is reinforced by the fact that Quip also dislikes talking about his past, so they both live in the moment.
Hecklers: Mad Cap takes criticism just fine, in fact she believes it helps her learn so long as its constructive. However when ponies call out from the crowd and generally insult her and Quip, she gets very very angry.
Hypocrites: Mad Cap is aware that neither she nor Quip are perfect, although admitting that is a hard task for her. It's how she can accept criticism with such a polite and kind manner. However when the ponies that criticize them are doing it in such a hypocritical way, she will get angry.
Motivation:The biggest goal in her life is to spread joy and laughter. She see's how Quip lives and how he brings happiness to all and wants to spread the same kind of feelings in her own way. She wants to live life dor others and by doing so live her own life to the fullest in the most face paced and hilarious ways she can.
Strengths:Mad Cap is one of the most organised ponies you'll ever meet. she sets up most of the tricks during Quip's shows and helps him to structure. She never lets this control her life however and outside of the shows she is actually a laid back and relaxed pony...well as relaxed as somepony called Map Cap could be. Along with this skill, she has a lot of skill as a performer that she has gained over the years. These skills combined make her the perfect assistant for Quip. Along with this, Mad Cap posses an uncanny intelligence, having been place in advanced classes and skipping grades, she is a very smart pony. However she often hides this intelligence from others.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Mad Cap is easily distracted, the only thing that can really hold her attention is Quip. This lack of attention span can get her in trouble and when she started working for Quip actually got herself injured a few times. Mad Cap has a short temper, she will not tolerate anypony giving her trouble or Celestia help them, giving Quip trouble. She will give you a piece of her mind and because her mind is slightly...off, you are better off just staying on her sweet side.
Fears: Mad Cap's biggest fear is that Quip will never know how she feels or that he will not feel the same way. It would break her heart and her spirit. Her day to day fears usually stem from the tricks she and Quip perform. Over the years she has taught herself that these fears end up coming true if she is afraid, and so she has trained herself to stop fretting over most of the tricks. However when it comes to a particularly tough or complex trick, its hard to not be a little scared, but that's part of the thrill.
Overall Persona: Mad Cap is a weird pony, trying to figure her out is something that the smartest pony would have a very tough time doing. She is in general a kind and sweet pony, but she has something else to her. What attracts her to Quip is the his view on life, when she was younger she always felt bored and that she was not meant for whatever she was going toward. She loved making others laugh and smiling though she got few chances to do so and it was something her parents didn't encourage. Her weird side comes in the form of her slightly deranged attitude that drew Quip to her. Together they could be worried about due to how manic they both seem. However Mad Cap is purely lovely and is a truly friendly pony, if not slightly 'out there'.
Mad Cap's intelligence leads to a perplexing juxtaposition of her personality. At heart she is a silly fun loving pony, but her intellect and knowledge of how the mind works leads to a weird sense of self knowing. She tries to avoid this analysis of herself or others because it distracts her in a way that she doesn't like. Speaking of distractions. Mad Cap lacks an affinity for the more mundane work a day tasks that she sometimes has to perform. After leaping over a shark tank while on fire, you lose that thrill of much else, which is probably what causes her lack of focus.
Despite her crush on Quip it does not define her not is it the focus of her life. Mad Cap just wants to live: happily, freely and most of all, with a whole lot of laughs. She can't deny she likes Quip but would never jeopardize their friendship which is as strong as the earth. She can be quite defensive of her friends and will defend them with her life if she must, being loyal and steadfast to the end. She simply enjoys living day to day and seeing what the world may throw at her next, laughing along with her best friend as she does so.
