Overall Persona:
Sitting by the bed of their extremely sick grandfather, Barbed and Sharp Rose cried for him. He must have been in immense pain, but he could to stay strong for the two little foals. The last filly their grandfather dated got aggressive when he broke up with her. Causing this situation. The grandfather knew he wouldn't make it out alive, so he decided to pass his elderly knowledge onto the two young ones. "Come closer," he whispered, using the last of his powers to tell the young foals what he had learned. "If it's a filly, what does it matter?"
Sharp Rose loved his grandfather dearly. It crushed him when he died, and he wept for hours. But, the foal just couldn't bring himself to take the elderly pony's advice of going after every filly. Shouldn't he wait for the right one? Wasn't that the right thing to do? The little foal's head puzzled over this for weeks, months. Eventually, he made up his mind. "Sorry grandpa... I just can't..."
A decade later, the twins moved to Ponyville, sharing a home to reduce the cost, they set about settling in and earning a living. While Barbed Rose went around flirting with every single filly he found, and found work in a relationship bureau, Sharp Rose turned to his fondness for cold drinks and set up a smoothie bar, and yanking his brother away from fillies whenever possible. He gets irritated by the colt's obsession with getting as many fillies to love him as possible, thinking he should put his talents (and Sharp had to admit, he was talented) towards a single fillyfriend. But is he listened to? Nope.
Sharp plays the 'straight colt' in the pair, and fits the classification quite well and with gusto. Whenever Barbed is there to chat up a group of fillies, Sharp will be there moments later to forceably drag him away. Or, failing that, make him look like an idiot.
