The Cobblestone Paths {open to anyone}

Eternity smiled at Aurora as TigerWolf went over to the book section he was looking for. The grey mare shifted her hooves towards the white Pegasus with excitement, but still trying to stay calm and cool. "Ah! You got a publisher on your hooves I see. Nice job," she said with a little flick of her bangs. A little hair got stuck in the dirty band aid on her nose, but she ignored it.

After a while of walking back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth, she finally just settled on a pure white couch on the side of the wall, next to the fiction section. Eternity switched the song once again, then looked around to see if anypony was looking at her. She looked left, right, then left again, and popped another stick of gum into her mouth. The grey mare then threw over her red hood on her head and looked down at her hooves.

After some silence to herself and her thoughts, she looked up to see a pony staring at her. Eternity tilted her head then made a straight face. 'Why is this creep staring at me?' she thought as the pony in front of her gave a huge grin. The messy haired Earth Pony threw her hood off then huffed. "Who are you and why are you staring at me?" she asked in a grouchy tone. The pony opened her mouth, then began to speak. "Hi! I'm a HUGE fan of you!" the pony yelled, making Eternity lean back a little. "Oh really? Who do you think I am?" Eternity asked with a little smirk. "YOU'RE A.K YEARLING ARN'T YOU?" Eternity frowned then threw back over her hood. "No. No I am not. Now go take your big brain, and throw it out the window would ya?" she asked in a low, growling tone. The pony frowned then ran off into another crowd. Eternity huffed, "A.K Yearling? What was she even thinking. I look nothing like her! Not to mention she never comes to these dumb conventions."

The Earth Pony got up and sighed a long sigh. She then switched to another song on her MP3 player and trotted back over to Aurora. "I'm really annoyed," she said to herself as she sat onto the shiny tile.

Aurora smiled at both of her friends excitement before giggling. "Not Infinity. They're a bunch of idiotic people to put such a rude pony out in front to be the face of their company. It's Enchanted Ivy. They're just a little newer." Aurora watches as Tiger disappears, looking as Eternity does the same before wandering around a little.

She looks at the books before looking up as Eternity comes back. "Whys that?" She asked Eternity, looking at Tiger as he walked up. She gave a warm smile, walking over to peak over his shoulder to look at the book. Aurora gives a small smile before moving back to her spot. She had been to this convention a few times, this being the first there wasn't ponies everywhere. It was also much smaller than normal. "Anybody want to go somewhere else?" She asked, looking between the two ponies

TigerWolf returns meeting Eternity and Aurora back the table. He'd found a book to base his format style off of. Aurora smiles at him and peaks at the book. "It's has first type spells in it like plant revival and that kinda stuff." he explains.

TigerWolf then glances around noticing that the convention still hasn't filled up. Usually conventions, Especially a writing l, are filled to the brim. Aurora then thankfully asks if they want to go somewhere else."

"I'm done here. Ain't really filled. Eternity you done?" he asks before giving an answer. He had nothing to do anymore since he'd found his book.

The grey mare looked up at the stallion with a slight glare. She huffed. "Yep, ready. Let's leave this place, giving me a headache," she said, standing up more straight. Her red eyes glanced at the door then fell back apon the two ponies in front of her. "So where to? I mean, we could go to a hoofball game or something. Heard the Colts and Broncos are playing here in Cantorlot," she suggested with a sly smile. Eternity blinked her eyes and saw the two ponies look not so into what she was getting at, so she sighed. "Or we can get some lunch."

Eternity looked around for somepony who worked at the convention. She then saw the guard she earlier spit gum onto, and trotted over there. She cleared her throat to get the attention of the guard. He looked at her with a smile, then wiped it off his face and frowned. "Yes ma'am?" he asked with a dark tone. "I need to find the nearest place to get food. Pronto." Eternity made sure the guard could see the gum in her mouth, and of course he did. "Ma'am! I told you to throw out your gum," he shouted. "Nah. We're leaving anyway Mr. Now just give us a restaurant dude," she replied. The guard's face turned completely red. "MA'AM!" The Earth Pony came closer to the guards face and smiled. "You give me a food place, and I'll not spit this gum on you. Capeesh?" The guard gulped then opened his mouth again. "Alright. There is a Hay Burger outside the convention, across the street. Now can you please just leave?" Eternity huffed then smirked. After a few seconds of staring, she wadded the gum into her mouth and spit it onto the guard again. She then spun towards the others. "Common you two! Next stop is the Hay Burger!"

Aurora stared blankly as Eternity talked about sports. She knew what they were but everything else about them was a foreign language. They walk up to the guard after deciding to get lunch and Aurora listens to Eternity speak to the guard. "This isn't going to end well," she said quietly to Tiger before Eternity spit the gum into the guard's face. Aurora face hoofed and walked to the guard, grabbing a paper towel from her bag and getting the gum off. "I'm so sorry," Aurora said as she walked outside, feeling slightly embarassed but getting over it as she looked around the city again. Like Fillydelphia, it was definetly a city, something Aurora didn't fit in with.
She sees the Hay Burger and motions for the other to follow her before walking across the street to it.

Aurora still hadn't gotten used to the fact she was somewhere new and walked it, looking at all the faces who stared at her like she didn't belong - which she didn't. She stuck out like a sore thumb and it bothered her but she had to get over it. She stood in the line, humming to herself as she waited. She had a nice voice, one she didn't use to sing. Her eyes glance behind her to smile at her friends before turning around to speak to them. "So, what exactly is this place?" she asked the dark grey mare.

TigerWolf nods eagerly to Eternity's idea of food. But there's something about that he felt uncomfortable about. Eating out. Something he'd never done before. When he lived in Canterlot his parents were always focused on his physical condition to prove Equestria wrong about unicorns needing magic.

TigerWolf was so focused on his memories that he hadn't had time to keep Eternity from walking up to a guard. Even after not even knowing her for not even three hours he knew this wouldn't end well. Even Aurora knew as she whispered what he had just thought about to him. "Ohhhh yeah." after all was said and done Aurora ended up cleaning gum off the guards face.

TigerWolf follows Eternity towards the fast food place. "Yeah I've never eaten out before. Parents worried about me and sibling eating habbits." TigerWolf says as the walk up to the door. He pulls it open and a new smell hits his nose.

(Sorry I usually don't respond this late. Cable people cane to today and they took out our WiFi for a little bit. Should be no more interruptions.)

Eternity trotted over to the long line of ponies waiting to order. She was surprised none of her new friends have had fast food before. She usually ate is almost everyday, and she was as healthy as a horse. "Really? Who two don't know what this is?! You guys are insane," she said with a chomp of her gum. She then sighed. "We are at the Hay Burger, the most famous fast food place in Cantorlot and Ponyville. Maybe even in all of Equestria! I usually eat this after I'm done with a hoofball game. Me and the team always come for dinner and we talk about our game. Of course like you two care, but it true."

When it was the grey mare's turn, she went up to the front counter to order the food for everypony. She took out one ear bud then looked at the menu. She thought for a minute, then turned around to face her friends. "I'll order you guys a hay burger," she said as she faced back to the counter. She looked at the worker then smiled. "Alright, I will have three hay burgers, and three small fries. Also three bottles of water," she said with a slight smile. The worker nodded. "Is that it?" Eternity nodded then the worker opened her mouth again. "Alright, fifteen bits." The Earth Pony shrugged then threw a bag of bits onto the table. The worker took the bits then handed them their food. "Thanks," Eternity muttered, then took the bag of food in her mouth and trotted over to a table. She set the food down and smiled, then sat down.

"Okay, got the food. Now sit, I'll show you how amazing this food is," she told her fellow companions, then took out the food and set it where they both sat. She smiled as she opened the box of the burger, and took a bite. She then awaited her friend's opinions on the food in front of them.

Aurora smiled slightly as the pony called her and Tiger insane before opening her saddlebag to pay for her amount of food. Before she could even get the bits out, Eternity had paid and walked away with the bag of food. "Okay then," she said to herself as she walked to follow the mare to the seat. Aurora sat down, looking at the box of food that sat in front of her. Aurora took the box and opened it, taking a bite of the burger before looking at Eternity.

"Okay, so this isn't too bad. I like it a lot," she said with a giggle before opening her water and taking a sip with a smile. Aurora took a night of a fry and smiled. "So, how about one day we all get together and I'll cook you all some food?" She said with an airy giggle before looking at the two ponies. She loved having guests and loved cooking so to her it was a good choice to do so. She just hoped it wouldn't be a problem with Eternity being she lived so far away. "You could even stay with me for the day, Eternity."

Before he knew it a hay burger was sitting in front of him. Eternity gestures for them to eat. TigerWolf takes in the scent. Aurora takes a bite and compliments it. "Okay Aurora likes it so..." he says as he takes a bite. TigerWolf's face reminded unchanged as he chewed a swallowed his food. It definitely something new and very weird but he like it.

"Pretty awesome. I like it bu this can't be healthy." he chuckles.

He eats a few fries as Aurora suggest her coming to ponyvile. As she did one filly entered his head. The golden flame headed filly he called 'sister.' she a filly based around respect and sitting in from him was a filly who had respect but just not as much for other ponies.

He could conclude one thing. Eternity and Tiger Lily don't mix. "Sounds like fun but Aurora you probably know how my sister gets and how much she requires everypony to respect everypony." he looks to Eternity.

"No offense meant at all but, when you spit your gum in that guard's face it was pretty disrespectful. My sister woulda tried lecturing you or something about how important respect is."

Aurora looked at Tiger as he spoke and nodded. "Well, I guess you're right. I didn't think about that," she said before taking another bite of her burger and eating a few fries. Aurora listened to Tiger explain to Eternity and smiled. "Honestly, she's just a real sweetheart who was raised very well," she said with a large smile before remembering something.

"Tiger," she began as she looked towards the silver stallion. "I found some tiger lilies one day and I picked them for your sister. Remind me to bring them to your house one day. I also have a little present for her. She helped me when I got busy with the shop one day, I told her I'd find some way to pay her," she said with a smile before finishing her burger and eating the fries slowly.

Aurora turned to Eternity and smiled. "So, do you know any places where a writer, professional swimmer, and hoofball player can have fun?" She asked. She wanted to include her new friend in the fun of watching Aurora wander around an unfamiliar place. She knew that it was entertaining for other ponies to watch her get excited over small things.

Eternity bit her lip and raised her eyebrow. She never thought she was being rude, and gave what she thought the guard deserved. Even if the gum rule was correct, no pony told her what to do with her gum. She hated spitting it out, cuz of all the nerves coming to bite her insides up into nothing. "I thought I gave what the guard deserved. He was being on the dark side, so I had to do something about it. I don't think I was being disrespectful, I was being myself. And your 'sister' can go be her own. A filly can't stop me from doing what I want to be doing," she hissed under her breath. She was way mad now, and just wanted to explode like a volcano erupting for the first time.

The mare thought for a second, then stood up and trotted off, getting a few dirty looks from others. She flew her hood over her head, then went behind a small building and screamed for a few seconds, then took a breath and screamed again. After she was done, she put a small grin on her face and walked back to the food table. "Alright, sorry about that. I was really mad. Don't think any of those words mean something, because they don't," she admitted, then took a bite of her hay burger. "Okay, well I just remembered that I have a hoofball game in Ponyville in a couple days, maybe I can take the next train with you two," she suggested with a smile on her face. She nodded at her suggestion, then got back up. "Yeah, you guys like that idea? Then you, Aurora could cook us something after my game. I also have some few tickets so you guys could watch me play," she said with a smile.

Aurora looked at Tiger as Eternity left and sighed before taking a sip from her bottle. "I guess we offended her," she said with another sigh before getting up to throw away her bag of food and sitting back down as the mare walked back in. "No, don't worry, it's fine," Aurora said before listening to her suggest taking the train with the two of them. Aurora smiled before looking at Tiger as if to see if it was alright with him. "I'm fine with it if Tiger is," she said, awaiting is response.

Aurora as always up for helping new friends and making food for these friends. She blew her mane from her face before standing and looking at the ponies with a smile. "I saw an exotic pet shop on the way to the convention, I hope you don't mind if we stop there. I have to get my fox a treat," Aurora said to the ponies before looking out the window and smiling. She could feel the chill of winter in her pelt, making her feel better being that the Aurora Borealis would be coming with it. She looked towards the ponies again and stretched her wings before closing them again. "Shall we go? I'd prefer to go before winter came and before the chill beat us."

TigerWolf hears a scream outside. Aurora starts to speak up about offending her. "Yeah. I guess it was a bad idea to bring up Tiger Lily. Won't be doing THAT anymore." he says. After his sentence Eternity returns.

She apologizes for he actions which TigerWolf found strange him being the one who had enraged her. "Nah I shouldn't have said anything. I can't blame ya for any of that." he his. Then Eternity suggest returning with them on the train ride back. Aurora leaves the decision up to him. He smiles "I'm all over that idea. As long as nothing is keeping you don't let us force you to do anything." TigerWolf says.

Aurora then mentions getting something for Fae at store she saw nearby. He stands up. "Then want are we waiting here for?" he says heading to the door and pushing it open. "Maybe you could pick something out Wolfos." he says. His pup pops up pit of his mane and scans the area who also taking in the scent. Wolfos whines to TigerWolf. "It maybe be greasy but I have good eating habits that should cancel out the effect of all of that." he says. Wolfos then sinks back into his mane. When TigerWolf looks back he notices the stares of the awed ponies for he'd just have a conversation with a wolf. "Wow I forgot how different
Canterlot is." he says to himself.

Eternity nodded at Tiger's apology. She didn't really think it was his fault for making her mad, she thought it was her own fault for getting mad or nothing. The situation wasn't even that big of a deal. The mare just got mad more easier then others. "Nah, it's not your fault. I get mad over everything. But if you insist it was your fault," she said with a smirk.

 She tapped on her MP3 player to switch the song, and the music started flowing into her ear. With a little hum, she looked at the wolf that popped out of Tiger's mane. She tilted her head in confusion then blinked a few times to get a good sight of the canine. She finally smiled as a burst of excitement popped inside her like a bubble. "Awe! Oh my gosh! He is so cute! How did he get in your mane? That is hilarious!" she said all at once. The wolf then goes back into Tiger's mane and the grey mare calms herself down. "Sorry, I really love animals. And Aurora," she turned over to the Pegasus. "I bet Fae is the cutest fox in the world," she said with a smile. "Anyway, we should go to the pet shop. I really want to see all the weird animals in there," she admitted. "WHAT IF THERE IS A MONKEY!?" the Earth Pony randomly yelled out. All the ponies around rapidly turned their heads over to her. Eternity's face got all red, then she hid her face in her red hood.

Reaching a hoof to grab a hay fry, the young mare looked back at her friends. "Alright, so the pet shop? I think I remember where it is," she mumbled. Now getting onto her hooves, she took a tray and put all the extra, uneaten food onto it, then trotted over to the trash and threw it away. She marched back with a smile on her face. "Okay, follow me," she said, then trotted quickly out and away of the fast food restaurant and to the exotic pet shop.

Canterlot may have been a big city, but there were always bigger. Cities that covered entire continents had risen up and fallen into dust in the lifespan of the world. Really it made a good argument for not building them at all in a way, though that was probably and over philosophical view.

That being said, most places were a bit smaller by perspective for A'bek. Being as tall as Celestia herself, most things made for ponies were rather small for him, in fact he had to look down most of the time while walking through the city streets. His large cloven hooves trotted down the street, reaping all the attention there was to have on the streets of the capital. He'd been to Canterlot before of course, but this simply meant that now ponies occasionally saw him and muttered something along the lines of 'There's that massive goat!'. A'bek find it a little disconcerting having so many pairs of eyes on him, but he took it all in stride. He smiled to those giving him the awe struck looks, waved to the foals who thought they were seeing a giant.

The reason for him being in Canterlot today was a fairly simple one..he'd gotten lost. He reckoned he'd taken a left turn at Ponyville when he should have kept going, as he walked up the large mountain path toward Canterlot he rather didn't want to turn around and feel like a fool. He wasn't the biggest fan of Canterlot but it was a nice enough city, if not a little pretentious at times. Ponies were wonderful creates but they were so varied, some seemed so consumed by looks, appearances and something they called 'artistic merit'. Ibex could be very artful creatures, he simply had never had a talent for it. Druidic prowess? He excelled there, but he found the beauty in nature more than anything.

Still, the city was nice enough and welcomed him all the same. Even if it was quite an obvious way of acknowledging him. He walked down the streets, occasionally looking through some shop windows for anything of interest. He was still looking to find an extra large satchel, currently he used two double size large pony satchels. It would take the strongest stallion you knew to lift those if they were full, A'bek wasn't even phased. Weirdly he'd struggled to find such a thing, he figured at some point he'd have to get some extra bits together and have one custom made.

It was in these thoughts and musings as he walked down the street that he wasn't really paying attention and bumped into a passer by. Feeling the soft thud against his legs, he took a step back and looked down at the pony in question. She was wearing a jacket and had a green mane. A'bek smiled and bowed his head.

"Apologies dear pony, I was a little lost in my thoughts." His deep voice explained.
