That brief moment tangled in Grace's limbs made Onyx feel like the day would start to crumble around them. He had become a fumbling fool, and those ponies that were skating around them could see it so clearly plastered all over his face. He tried to play it cool as he normally would, with a flick of his hair, after flirting hours on end with any other mare that swooned his way, but this was different.
Grace wasn't like those other mares that he could brush away. She was… innocent. That was perhaps the best way Onyx could describe her personality with as. Playful, fun and in her own way, loud.
That dorky smile she flashed at him completely caught him off guard, as he was not expecting that. Not after the incident that was his own doing. He could see that there was a smile playing on her face, one that simply would not disappear.
Onyx couldn't help it. The corners of his own lips tugged into a wide, toothy grin as he hooked an arm into her's. He cleared his throat, gazing across the pond at Stump who was yelling and calling out to the two of them.
"Let's get off these dangerous contraptions, shall we? Stump is right. I think we've had enough fun on the ice for today." As he steadily directed her back to the shore to meet with Stump.
Once his hooves were on semi-solid, snow covered ground, Onyx collapsed onto his hind legs and began undoing the straps. He eased them off with care, putting them aside carefully as he relaxed completely, leaning back on his forearms. His silver eyes just did not leave Grace for one moment.
Onyx blew away a lick of blue hair that fell over his eye, still grinning at Grace.
"Hot chocolate?" He asked, eyes brightening at the thought. His own cheeks were tinged pink, the cold chilling him a little. He stood up, gently kicking off the snow fluff on his legs. Onyx looked to Stump and cleared his throat once again. "Unless you're up for a snowball fight?" waggling his eyebrows, his hooves nudging at the snow in temptation.
