The trio of mares stood on top of the tree, each of them enjoying the view from the top. Midnight turned to Dark Star and asked her how the view was. "It isn't something I do often, but when living with Slipstream, you get used to it" she said happily. Slipstream lied down on the crown and smiled. "Yeah, it's pretty great" the young mare said gleefully. She put her front legs behind her head and let out a relieved sigh. She always did enjoy sleeping in higher places, especially outdoors. Dark Star took a step forward and looked out towards the edges of the park. Then she looked back up at the sky, then back to Midnight.
"I still can't believe that we're cousins. My whole time as a filly, I was just an only child. I always wanted to have a sibling, just some-pony I could talk to. When Slipstream popped into my life, it was a bit surprising, but I did get what I wanted. She was everything I expected from a little sister; loud, annoying, messy, an absolute troublemaker..." she explained. Slipstream suddenly stood right and glared at the dark unicorn. She was about to say something when Dark Star spoke up instead. "but I wouldn't have known that if she never showed up. She's given me the chance I needed to advance not only as an individual, but as a family" she said with a single tear sliding down her cheek.
Slipstream got up and embraced the dark unicorn tightly. "Aww, I love you too, Bright Eyes" she squealed. Dark Star patted her back with a free hoof and looked back at Midnight. "What's more is that she's kind enough to help when she needs to and even helped re-unite long-lost family with each other" she said with another tear sliding down. She looked down at the blue pegasus and spoke in a low, comforting tone. "I know sometimes we argue, but deep down, I know I'd be lost without you. I love you like the sister I never had, Slipstream" she said as her face was covered in tears. She held the younger mare closer to herself, fully embracing her as they stood at the top of the tree.
