Dread was contently writing within the confines of his journal until he noted the time, the driver had seemingly been gone for a while. Dread honestly didn't know what to do in the situation, he couldn't very well go looking for him and risk the driver returning and leaving without Dread and not noticing he wasn't in the carriage. Looking for him was irrelevant for a number of reasons not least of which was that Dread had no clue about the layout of this town and would simple get lost, not only that but it sounded rude to him but then again what did know about such things?
Still he had to put down his book for a moment, resting it on the bench he was sat on. Scooting over to the side so that he could look out of the window to perhaps see what was going on, through the condensated window could barely be seen the cold outside world. The wind seemed to have picked up as the shrill scream of its gale tore outside, Certainly it was not a scene that Dread wished to take part in. It was the kind of weather that just accented how nice warmth and indoor areas were, one that you only ever looked out of a window to view and never wanted to find yourself in. Well that scene gave Dread another reason to not go outside, he supposed he'd just have to wait for a while until the driver finally made his way back to the carriage.
Scooting back over to his place in the middle of the seat, he was about to pick up his book once again until he heard a sound he had hoped he would not. There was a pulling at the door handle on the side of the carriage and sure enough he now had some company, more specifically he had an interruption by somepony he had thought would have gotten the message. Still Dread was not totally devoid of rational though, in fact Dread was almost purely rational thought. He actually slightly appreciated the fact that Gear was here, it showed a concern albeit a slightly condescending one. Dread was about to say something until that insufferable goat decided to mark his entry into the script that was this day, well if these two were here then he couldn't imagine the other pair were fair behind.
"Well.." Dread pulled a small time piece from his bag "I suppose that didn't take long." Dread smirked. He wasn't sure if it was normally something to expect, but he somehow expected this. "I appreciate you concern, and perhaps the company...at a push." Dread might not have mastered many arts of conversation but he liked to think he had sarcasm down, although the best time to use it sometime eluded him. "What brings you back to my journey might I ask, I can't imagine I left a warm lasting impression on you". Dread seemed more eloquent with his thought process and speech than he had at the beginning of this journey, but all that meant was that he was at least comfortable around these ponies to wing it a little more.
