There was a loud ruckus that had woken Moonstar. Horrible banging and crashing, drilling and cutting. Moon angrily poked her head out her new cottage window to investigate. There was construction going on across the street from her home to repair the roof of her neighbors' house. Moonstar glared at the clock on the other side of her room to take note of the time. 10 o'clock? Are you kidding me?!? Moonstar stuck her head back out the window and shouted at the construction ponies. "HEY!!! Do you mind?! Some ponies are trying to sleep!" This caused everypony to stop what they were doing and stare at her. One particular pony stepped forward, "I'm mighty sorry ma'am for the inconvenience," the stallion said in his overly country-pony accent, "but we've been paid a pretty penny to fix this roof by tomarra morning."
Grumbling to herself, Moon retreated back inside, slamming the window shut with her magic as she made her way back to her bed. Maybe I can just sleep through it... she tried to convince herself, flopping back down on her comfy bed, but it wasn't long before the construction ponies were back at it. She covered her head with her pillow, but it was no use. It was still too loud for her to return to sleep. Throwing the pillow across the room, Moon decided that she would go to the Town Square to do some shopping. With a groan, she put on her saddle bag and set out for her destination.
I was a good thing that she didn't live that far away from the center of town. It wasn't long before she hit the bustling streets of the center of Ponyville. Of course this didn't make her morning any better. She was still groggy and the sun was hot and she would still much rather be in bed still. All these thing swirled in her head, making her mood spiral downward. Unfortunately, thinking about all the reasons she were in a bad mood distracted her from watching where she was walking and she bumped into someone. "Watch where you are going," she snapped at the person she had run into.
