Likes: Designing and making clothing for the ponies of ponyville and beyond, her cat Opal, paying attention to detail, sophistication, beauty and presentation. She also has learned more and more to enjoy her sister's company, accepting her for who she is, despite the apparent chaos she may cause. She adores any kind of gem or crystal, precious materials can be extremely handy to a fashionista, after all!
Dislikes: Untidiness, Dirt, bugs, disrespectful individuals, anything interfering with her work, seeing other ponies not looking their best.
Motivation: Rarity wants to make others happy, which is why she is the element of generosity. She does this by making everypony look their best with her makeovers and designs for ensembles and other clothing. In particular she likes to design ensembles for the grand galloping gala each year, her motivation is to make others as happy and as beautiful as possible. Her motivation, her drive is to better herself in her field while maintaining her integrity as the element of generosity
Strengths: She is generous, caring, sophisticated, accurate and never rushes a job, she pays near-microscopic detail to her work and will not rest until she has satisfied herself and her customer, so it goes without saying she is extremely dedicated to everything that she does. Her high standards make her stand out in a crowd
Weaknesses/Flaws: She has been called fussy, she is a workaholic most definitely and she also sometimes pays too much attention to detail. Her standards are perhaps too high. She has often been criticised for being selfish, despite the fact she is in fact the element of Generosity, she, of course does not intend to be self centred but sometimes her actions suggest she has herself as a priority, which is often not the case.
Fears: Never becoming a well known fashionista, other ponies disliking her designs and possibly the idea that some would consider her selfish

Rarity has a passion for design and considers herself an artist, she dreams of one day designing for royalty and marrying the stallion of her dreams. She has very high standards for appearance and often feels the need to bring out the physical best in others, be it through a new manicure or hair treatment, she simply adores the idea of everyone looking their absolute best. However, this does not mean that she is controlled by her vanity she truly cares about each of her friends and customers, often designing to their request, hoping to bring out their natural beauty. That said, should she get a hair out of place, it is easy to see how some would say otherwise.
Rarity pays extreme attention to detail in both her work and appearance, she hates not looking her best or seeing others not looking their best either. Her appearance has been referrer to many times and she is known to be admired. Occasionally she uses this to her advantage and can bat an eyelid or two to get some pony to do something for her, but there's no harm in that.
Sometimes she can become emotional when her designs, her career or her shop are mentioned in a negative manner, as anything interfering with these things would be disrupting everything she prides herself in, which is perhaps why she comes across as fussy. Sometimes her attention to detail does get in the way of things, as on multiple occasions she has been too busy organizing the little things to see the bigger things happening around her.
She is a well spoken Unicorn, often using long words and sometimes throwing in another language mid sentence ((I believe she has used french)), she lives and breaths sophistication, one word she uses rather often is "Darling" again showing the mannerisms and sophistication of the fashionista she is
She has made dresses for some rather important figures, including Sapphire Shores, and less recently the wedding dresses for the Royal Wedding of Shining Armour and Princess Cadence, and has on many occasions proven her ability to create something truly incredible to behold, even worthy of royalty.
Rarity cares about her appearance greatly, avoiding things like stepping in mud or risking getting her mane messy, Rarity isn't above getting her hooves dirty when it comes to helping her friends, she is willing to sacrifice her appearance to help somepony in need, as she knows that this is more important, her generosity comes first every time.
being unicorn, Rarity can use magic. Not quite as well as unicorns who trained in magic, she appears to be able to use telekinesis , being able to use it on more than one item at any given time, and can put on light displays and can sew with considerable skill. All of her magic seems to be focused on her profession. She can uncover gems for her designs using her magic too, making her life much easier than if she was to dig around constantly, she hates getting her hooves muddy, or even a single hair out of place
She lives with her sister in ponyville and her parents would occasionally visit. Her relationship with Sweetie Belle has been somewhat turbulent, Rarity often would lose her temper with her for using fabrics she shouldn't, taking things that aren't hers or just her getting in trouble generally. Regardless of this she is her sister and she cares greatly for her, and would not lose her for the world.
Over time her skills have been tested, as in the crystal empire where she had made hand made goods for the residents there, and the royal wedding garments, regardless she always keeps a professional, sophisticated demeanour and her generosity never fades, although she spends a lot of time on her appearance, and her beauty does indeed matter to her, her friends do and will always come first. Although she craves the high society she would happily give it all away for her friends, as seen when she has to decide between Fancypants' friends and her own, by picking her own she gained the respect of both while maintaining her generosity and proving she could never let her friends down.
