Cutter's Revenge (Private: For Dr. Cutter and Silver Breeze)

Thomas couldn't stop looking over at "Travis", no matter what he tried to think about or look at. He knew this wasn't Travis, it was a changeling pretending to be Travis. This changeling had also obviously been the stallion before he changed to Travis. The real question was, though, where was the real Travis? That, Thomas wasn't entirely sure about, but was sure that he was hidden somewhere in this, surprisingly big, hole. He snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing his boss start to question "Travis" and accuse him of being a changeling. Well, it's about time, he thought while listening to his boss. He continued to watch as his boss revealed "Travis" to be a changeling, like no one else was suspicious of him. It was awful, really, the way his boss treated the other diamond dogs. However, no one ever even had the guts to say anything about it. 

Thomas snapped out of his thoughts again upon seeing his boss gesture at him to pick the changeling up again. He quickly did so, pulling the changeling off the ground. However, once he knew his boss wasn't looking, he scurried off to a part of the hole where no one would hear him or the changeling. Once he was out of earshot, he set the changeling down. "Ok, now I understand that you don't wanna be here and neither do I. So we gotta work together. I know you probably don't trust me and I don't really trust you, but I promise I will get you out of here no matter what." He said, not really sure what else to say. "Now, let's do this!" He said, before picking up the changeling again. Quickly, he started digging into the wall, not stopping for anything. Soon, he was able to climb into the tunnel with the changeling and covered his tracks before once again digging. However, he failed to realize that when he dug, somehow Travis fell out of the wall being very confused. 


-Ponyville Hospital-  

Silver Breeze sighed as she flopped against the pillow of her hospital bed. Only a half hour ago had she run into the hospital and explained that she had broken her wings. So here she was, lying in a hospital bed with both of her wings bandaged and slowly healing. She couldn't help but think back to her little adventure with Dr. Cutter and how she had luckily escaped from him and those diamond dogs. She couldn't deny her growing hatred for him as she continued to think. She sighed, deciding that she needed to rest and quickly shutting her eyes and falling asleep.

Cutter just held on tight for dear life as the diamond dog known as Thomas carried him on his back. He dared not let go because well he didn't want to risk breaking anything else from the fall. However, it quickly became obvious that they weren't leaving the way that the lead diamond dog wanted them to. But Cutter couldn't understand why. As soon as they were in another section of the laughably enormous hole, Thomas let him down and before he even had the chance to ask, the dog spoke revealing to him his intent to betray Eddie. Cutter was pleasantly surprised by Thomas' words. His red eyes blinked showing his confusion. "Um...from one minion to another, may I ask why you wish to betray your boss? He may not be very nice, but he's still your boss. I mean have you no sense of loyalty?" the changeling curiously inquired. As he was still very much loyal to Chrysalis, Cutter did not understand the concept of losing faith in one's leader. Many would probably call his blind loyalty to Chrysalis as delusional.

He gave a grunt as the diamond dog picked him up once again. "Um where exactly are you taking me?" he asked as Thomas began digging through a wall. He then let out a cry of surprise as the very same diamond dog he had impersonated seemingly fell from the ceiling. His face reddened as he recognized the dog. "Oh well what do you know, it's your little friend, Travis. I uh almost forgot this was where the mare and myself hid him. Silly me," he exclaimed with a sheepish smile. Cutter slid off Thomas' back and cautiously approached the confused diamond dog. "Um, here let me help you up," Cutter offered extending a hoof to Travis.

Meanwhile, Eddie and the other diamond dogs reached the surface. Thinking that Thomas and Cutter were right behind him, Eddie turned to speak to them only to find them both gone. He gasped. "What, gone? How could that be? They were both here just a second ago, I swear it! Has anybody seen Thomas or the changeling?" Eddie asked his followers who just started murmuring among themselves. "What? You mean to tell me that not one of you furbrains knows where the changeling is? How could you lose him? It's kind of hard to miss a single changeling in a pack of diamond dogs! He sticks out, ya know," he chided, clearly annoyed. His followers just sort of shrugged in response. "Ugh useless! Must I do everything myself?" Eddie complained, frustrated.

He then turned to leave only to be stopped by Jorge. "But boss where are you going?" Eddie groaned. "Back into the enormous sand hole to find Thomas and the changeling. Where else?" Eddie rather impatiently answered. "But...but what if you can't convince him to come back or what if you don't find him at all?" asked a very worried Jorge. "Without Thomas we'll be doomed and lost, but mostly doomed," whined yet another dog to Eddie's great dismay. "Wow just wow... It warms my heart so that you guys believe in me so," Eddie sarcastically mused causing his followers to murmur excitedly among themselves. "Uh no offense boss, but without Thomas we're doomed," exclaimed one of the dogs, freaking out. "Yeah, he's really smart and does a pretty good job at giving you good advice. You just um don't always listen to it," another pointed out. Eddie definitely did not like where this conversation was going. "What? No way! I'm a great leader! You need me! I don't need Thomas to advise me on stuff. I can do things on my own without his help," Eddie reassured only for his own followers to laugh as they recalled several past incidences of Eddie ignoring Thomas' advice with some rather amusing consequences while others weren't so amusing. In fact, it was partially due to Eddie's failure to heed all of Thomas' advice that they now found themselves on the run from Dimondia bounty hunters and the like.

Eddie felt his face redden as they continued to laugh. Grumbling he once again turned to leave. "I'll prove it! I'll...I know! I'll do something without his help and then you will all see that I am fully capable of taking care of myself er I mean all of us on my own," insisted a very determined Eddie. "Now this, I've gotta see," whispered one of the dogs. Eddie paused a moment to think of how he could best restore the faith in his followers and then it hit him. "So, you really want Thomas back, eh? Even though he clearly doesn't want to be with us," he questioned. His followers all nodded. "Oh yes! Wait, what do you mean he doesn't want to be with us?" "Well, isn't it obvious? He... Oh nevermind. The point is I'll find Thomas all on my own without any help and convince him to return to us. That should prove what a great leader I am! In the meantime, return to camp. This...finding Thomas shouldn't take very long. That is all. You're dismissed," ordered a very confident Eddie. Thinking this a bad idea, but not wanting to defy their leader, Eddie's followers reluctantly headed back to their camp.

Satisfied that his followers were on their way back to their campsite, Eddie cautiously climbed back down the hole to search for Thomas and the changeling. 'Seriously, must I do everything around here? Without me those furbrains would be so lost!' Eddie arrogantly thought to himself as he made it back down.

Picking up their scent he followed their trail. Unfortunately for Eddie, he couldn't follow them all the way since they managed to cover their tracks. Instead, he ended up going in circles going all over the place except where the trio was now at.
